Excellent for the price.

by FrankyPJ, from United States, VA Written on February 4, 2015
I've had this adjustable sling for over a year now, and although I've only used it on small range outings, it's been great so far. I have had no hang ups with it, when I want to release it, the tension realeses. When I want to tighten it down, it tightens up and doesn't budge. I didn't get the chance to run it during any Mil. Training due to my unfortunate luck of weapon system issuing, but I've loved it on my personal rifle at home. I'd recommend this all day....
Pros:
  • Inexpensive
  • Sturdy, nice looking
  • efficient use of size; not bulky or oversized
Cons:
  • None

Unbeatable function + quality at this price, and up.

by CavScout, from United States, MN Written on January 11, 2015
I bought two of these; mostly because they looked very similar to my VTac 2-pt padded sling and would function the same. Though I still love my $35+ VTac sling, I have a number of other systems that needed their USGI nylon slings replaced. At about $15 a pop, these slings are great. Besides the strap being a softer nylon, I'm not seeing that change anything from the VTac.

I'm guessing these slings will give me well over their cost. Great for the budget rifle, or simply adding good slings to backup systems. I hope Optics Planet brings these back so I can get more.

Would have taken this over any Spec Ops Brand, Magpul, or USGI slings I've used. Wish I had known about these before deployment. The Magpul and Spec Ops are both heavy and expensive. The USGI 3-pt were poorly designed, complicated, and would fall apart on guys. The USGI 2-pt slings took time to adjust, so your weapon would flop around more. These slings would have solved all of those issues....
Pros:
  • Lightweight
  • Rugged and reliable
  • cost, quality
  • Simple
Cons:
  • discontinued?
Best Used for:
  • Backup
  • hard field use

nice inexpensive sling

by Kris, from United States, GA Written on October 8, 2014
I wanted a sling for my AR that was fairly inexpensive that would do the job. This one fit the bill. It took forever to get here, I had to call Optics planet 3 times. Apparently they sold it from a different vender/warehouse. I was also able to braid 550 cord around 2/3 of the sling. I am satisfied....

Deadmeat

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on June 14, 2011
I bought one originally for my AR build because I needed a cheap 2-point sling and was surprised by the high quality of this sling. Easy on the fly adjustability, good padding, good build quality. And cheap! Bought another for my 10/22.
Pros: Excellent value
Cons: none...
