Cobra Buckle Riggers Belt

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, FL Written on March 10, 2012
I'm a trainer and use padded battle belts with molle to accomodate all the gear (pistol, pistol mags, AR mags, dump pouch, IFAK, knife, etc.). These require some sort of inner belt.

I've tried every other styles of trainers belt and riggers belt and could never get the right combination of size and fit. It always seemed like A large was too short and and XL was too long and the tag end with the velcro was just totally unworkable.

Trust me when I say a cobra buckle riggers belt is the only way to go. One of the best features is that once you get it setup the way you want it you don't have to change anything.

It is easy to don and take off the entire rig with the cobra buckle. Also like the fact that it is 1.75" wide. Many similar belts are 2" wide which is too wide to accomodate some holsters, mag pouches and knife sheaths.

Pros: buckle system, weight & stiffness of material, functionality, sizing, ruggedness
Cons: none...

High value riggers belt option

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, NC Written on July 6, 2011
This belt is a high value option for those looking for a riggers belt with the functionality of the cobra buckle, thickness of a gun belt, and backup rappel buckle. As a back up rappel rig the belt serves mediocre as the force from an attached rope pulls the belt up the waste as there are no leg loops (which can be made out of webbing; recommended) Belt is very useful as a utility belt as the thick webbing does not twist or buckle under weight from items worn. Cobra buckle has to come off in order to feed belt through webbing and can be a downside if the user wears multiple pairs of pants a week. On the reverse the cobra buckle allows for quick clip and go without the need for retightening or adjusting once the user has set correct tension.

* if your waste size is smaller than 32 inches this belt will sag as it is made for larger waste people but other clothing can be worn underneath in order to keep the belt up.
Pros: High Value
Cons: will not fit less than 32.5 inch wastes...

This belt is a very clean looking belt. For a holster belt I might question its overall performance do to the fact that its only a three stitch vs a five stitch and is much more flexible. The buckle however is the key! its outstanding and is easily disconnected to do your business without having to unstrap the whole belt. once you set it up your done! one more thing, I did have to take one side of the buckle off to feed it through my belt straps, but after I got it set up I was good to go!
Pros: Great Easy Belt to use.
Cons: Only a three stitch belt, but still seeing a lot of shooters use it!...
