Tactical Assault Gear Kidney & Straps

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, IA Written on August 21, 2009
Just went for a 5 mile ruck sack march with my new straps and kidney pads. TAG did a great job, HUGE difference than the old Alice pack straps. I started my march and expected a little break in time for the ballistic style material to my surprise no hot spot at all. I was wearing a underarmour shirt and at first my shoulders straps slid around but as I sweated through my shirt that went away. The chest strap has stretchable material so as you march the shoulders straps give a little yet keep the straps from spreading to far off the chest. Great idea! The kidney strap held on my hips like a glove no hot spots or break in sores. the plastics buckles seem bullet proof. I had 50 lbs in my rucksack and did not feel the fatigue like I felt with the old gear. Don't get me wrong I am 40 yrs old and I do get sore but I would not blame them on the straps. I am ready to go on a 10 mile march next. I have no doubt that my TAG gear will perform. I did post that it took 4 weeks to get my order filled by TAG this is the first time I have ever had this happen with them. They did explain that they had to make them from scratch. However when I got the order the quality was well worth the wait. The also included a 30% off my next purchase code. Nice touch. Would I stop buying from TAG for this? Hell no! I am looking to get a operator hat in olive next.
Pros: great quality! comfort and features
Cons: took 4 weeks to get from order date, first time and only time this has ever happened ...
Would recommend: Yes
