Awesome red dot

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on August 23, 2013
I know every manufacturer has a lemon now and then but my red do is very nice. Yes it's a budget dot but the dot is perfectly round and small until about 4 or so then it gets a little out of round. I just returned a utg 4 moa that had a horrible blob instead of a dot. I am exchanging for another so well see. This Tasco works great!
Pros: Dot is nice, small, and round
Cons: None...

Meets Expectations

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on March 22, 2012
Agree with earlier review - the dot is not a dot...that is to say, it is not tight like with a $400+ scope. It is not a $400+ scope, and I have seen much worse looking dots on other "economy" scopes; this ain't that bad.

This is quite a reasonable scope for the money. If it proves to be mechanically robust for a while on my rifle, I'll be getting more of them.
Pros: Inexpensive, reasonably high quality
Cons: the dot...isn't...

Not as advertised

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, IL Written on February 10, 2010
Everything as advertised except "red dot" is not a dot or even close to it. Its way too large and shaped in an elongated non-semetrical shape.
Pros: All good except red dot
Cons: red dot poorly shaped...

Tasco 1 X 42 Red Dot Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on October 14, 2009
WOW!!! Received the scope yesterday and mounted it on my Ruger MK II target pistol. I used a Weigand Combat scope base.

Went to the range today and sighted the scope in at 25 yards. Only took 3 rounds to get the scope on dead center. I fired ten five shot groups with Winchester Super X Hollow Points. The largest group was 5/8" and the average was 1/2".

In bright sunlight I prefered the green dot over the red. You can certainly pay more for this type of scope but why would you....
