Could not get rings off of this scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on April 28, 2012
Rings can NOT be taken off of this scope so that it can be used on a Weaver base.
Cons: Wanted to use this scope on Weaver base and could NOT get the rings off of it - made trash out of it in the attempt to get rings off of it....

Would be great if it worked

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, NY Written on December 28, 2011
For 20 bucks you cant beat it. I'm sure I got the one bad apple in the batch as the windage adjustment knob did not work, it just spins and unscrews. The BSA 22 scope for the same price is what I replaced it with and it ended up being the exact same scope with a different name on it, right down to the caps. This one functions perfectly and even passes box test somehow. I've had $1000 dollar scopes that can't do that. It has a wide oval objective not round, and is very clear. For 20 bucks you can't beat this scope for a 22 or air rifle.
Pros: wide oval sight picture
Cons: adjustment knob didn't work...

Not appropriate for rifles without built-in rail

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on January 30, 2011
Do not try to mount this on Weaver mounts or EGW Picatinny rail! The mounting ring feet are too narrow for these mounts and spreading will break the mounting ring! This scope is better suited for an airgun or for a rifle with a built-in rail that will accept airgun-style scopes. The 7/8 inch diameter means that you cannot adapt this scope to Weaver mounting rings....
