It is a $90.00 scope. If you want a thousand dollar scope then save your money. For my ruger 10/22 it is great at 100. Can't wait to see what the combo does at 200. The clarity on mine was very nice. Easy to focus and the indents on the adjustment turrets are very crisp. Better so far than my redfield scope. Just remember like everything else you get what you pay. In this instance I got a little more to my happy surprise

This is the second 6-24 Tasco I've had and I have nothing but good to say about both. For the money, you can't beat them. Zoom's in and presents a good pinpoint for aiming (important at long range). Only problem I found is you have to hold your eye at "just the right" spot to get full view. Small price to pay.

Mil dot calibrated at 8x makes using mils at 8 and 16x a easy. Mounted on Savage MkII with Leupold Rifleman 1" rings gives about 1/4" clearance.

Pros:  Pretty clear optics
Cons:  Appears not to stand up
Would recommend:  yes

Gary C wrote:

This scope isn't that old, and it didn't take too long before I had something falling off inside. I'm not sure what it is, but if I look through the objective lens instead of the ocular, it's very clear to see. It looks like some sort of thread, or a piece of the interior coating. I'm not happy, obviously. I'm going to have to send it back to Tasco. Spend a bit more money and buy a Mueller Optics

I purchased this scope 2 years ago for my rem 700 chambered in .223rem. I was a tad nervous because a varmint/target scope with this magnification should be much more expensive. Alas, I have been nothing but impressed! I have always liked Tasco's products. Great value, great durability, great clarity. A+
