Most Helpful Positive Review Great Scope
I bought a Tasco DWC416x40mm scope. Its a great scope. I have a Tasco on my 30-06, and I love it. It has been on there for 15 years and I have not had...

Recommend with caveat

You get what you pay for so for the price I wasn't expecting Leupold quality. It's a good scope and went on my AR replacing a compact one. Since I'm dealing with low recoil I didn't think that I needed the precision and ruggedness of the more expensive models. The reviews were good and so far it holds a zero; which is all you can ask of a scope anyway....

Tasco WorldClass 4-16x40mm with VitalZone 500

by Mike, from United States, TX Written on October 22, 2014
I've used a Tasco WorldClass 3-9 x50 mm scope for 30 years and it has been very sharp and holds true. Last year I decided to replace that scope with this 4-16X40 MM with a VitalZone 500 Reticle. I only rate this a 4 because I haven't had an opportunity to take it to the field. I bought a new Remington 700 (with a scope) and replaced it with this one. My last 3 shots were inside an inch at 100 yards. Looking forward to trying the VitalZone in the field....
Pros:
  • features
  • reliability
  • price, easy of installation, ease of use
Cons:
  • none yet
Best Used for:
  • Deer Hunting
  • Varmint Hunting

good product

Overall great scope for the money spent. I have owned a few other tasco scopes and never had one fail on guns from 25-06 to 7mm mag. It may not be the best scope but it is what I can afford and if you are on a tight budget try it....

Tasco 4-16 Scope Review

by Jon, from United States, KY Written on August 29, 2014
A very well made scope for the price. This was mounted on a Savage MKII F .22 rifle with a 16.5" barrel. While this may seem a bit much for this type rifle, it was not for my eyes. Sight picture was crisp and clear at 12X, then lost just a touch of clarity at 16X. Might have been me, not certain. At 50 yds from a not very steady rest, I was covering a quarter. Got a better table and was covering the same at 80 yds with no problem. Would definitely buy this scope again. Shipping was fast, and the scope arrived very well protected....

Good scope!

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on July 2, 2014
I put this scope on my Winchester model 70 in 270 win that I bought last year and it has performed great! Very clear, dropped a nice 4 point buck last year at 450 yards as well as a cow elk at 400. Both shots were right in the boiler room. Very good scope especially for the price. Thanks Tasco. Oh and I have a Tasco 3x9x40 on my 300 win mag and its a nail driver, had it on it for 12 years and still is excellent.
Pros: 2 inch groups at 200 yards.
Cons: none...

Very good scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on May 5, 2014
I have four scopes. This is the cheapest. It is also the best. Even better than my $400 big name target scope. The click adjustments aren't always uniform, but once its dialed in it holds zero. And the vital zone 500 is a great reticle.
Pros: holds zero
Cons: just wish it came with 24X...

Awesome Scope For the Price

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, PA Written on April 25, 2013
For a $77 dollar "low end" scope, this scope is better than my other higher end scopes. Very clear at 16 power, easy to use. I love how people call Tasco "Trashco", but in my opinion it is the person shooting who has problems not the scope.
Pros: Everything about the scope
Cons: No cons I could find...

Tasco 4-16 Vital zone Reticle

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on November 4, 2012
Have this on tikka .243win.Scope is clear & sharp. This Reticle is my favorite as it matches with 95 grain win. Once zeroed at 100 yards. reticle is accurate to 500 yards with different calibers. see link below. No need for expensive scope now. Well done Optics Planet for great service.

I Like This Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on April 8, 2012
This was a replacement for a Tasco 6-24x40 varmint scope. I like the world class scope better. Its clarity is very good and it is easy to use. Can't beat the price either. Have put it on a Savage Axis .223.
Pros: Cost, clarity of optics, good windage and elevation
Cons: None so far...
