I wanted a portable but steady mount for my Televue 76 mm but light enough to carry on when flying. Regular camera tripods were just too lightweight to support the the 76 mm scope. The Telepod with TPM-1015 is great and much sturdier than I had hoped. It easily handles the 76 mm scope, plus eyepiece caddy and maintaining aim point even at high magnification was easy. Vibrations were eliminated in under a second. The tripod and mount easily disassemble and set up in just a couple of minutes. I consider the Telepod and mount more than good enough to be my primary tripod and not just for travel and am selling my CG-4.
