Over all the unit is well made and you CANT beat the price, though if you really need exact results as without the magnifier then get the F1.0 for more money. If things are tight or your need more compact lens get this one. I tested on an X100xp Model, I am sure heat signature would be better on the 50mk models instead of the 100mk. I would recommend the unit, its built well and is at a great cost, it adds alot to the unit and gives you DOUBLE zoom! Makes all the difference if you are trying to identify a target, after all we know the claims made by manufactures of Thermal Imagers are not always accurate, range on a x150/x100 is about 200 meters max and about 125meter Identify With the Magnifier you get a solid detection in warm nights of 250-300 meters, and cold nights would be even better.
Pros: Cost, Compact, Good quality.
Cons: F1.4 Slight loss of heat, noticeable very slightly, not same a F1.0...
Would recommend: Yes
