Just got my acog went to the range and i am really pleased with performance of it. I did alot of research and i had a choice between aimpoint 3x with comp m4 , elcan specter , and i picked trijicon with green reticle and rmr, the reason it beat all of them is this: it beat aimpoint bc it has the rmr sight its probably not as good as aimpoint but it will do the job for me, why i didn't get elcan specter which is suppose to be the best glass because of the warranty its only one year which blows, so if you want something in the katrina situation get any aimpoint 1x its fast to aim on the target and 95% out of all situation you will win, if you want something that is as tough as aimoint but it comes with a crisp and clear glass (note you can put a flash kill on the acog but i havent seen it on flash kill on rmr you can only cover it with a black cover that you can't see through) magnification feels like 5x and you want to check a larger perimeter of view and loong warranty plus they can refurbish ...

Pros: versitility-low light/daylight...close quarters or distance this optic brings it all to the table. It truly tips the scales, giving the operator the unfair advantage we seek!!
Cons: price of course....but worth every penny
Would recommend: yes

What to say....as a former operator in the army special forces and current police officer I've been exposed to many different optics. Trijicon got it right on the money with this one. Perfect for close in work, holding a perimeter or the vaunted "golden bb" shot from distance. Should that b necessary. Also customer service at optics planet was awesome. Based in America and staffed by Americans. Top notch across the board.

I got this for x-mas and I really love it. super bright lens, color is awesome I don't use the docter red dot, but nice to have if my needs change. lamps on these are now 15yrs! mount will return scope to same place every time. I have plenty of reflex and holo sights and never really saw the need for a scope for the type of shooting we do but now I don't know how we got along without it. highly reccomend

I used ACOG's for the past 2 years in the army. Never had a problem with them, they take all kind of punishment like drops, water, sand, etc.
