fantastic product

The trijicon acog w/rmr I ordered is great. I have had no issues with the scope or with trijicon customer service, whom i've called several times... on the other hand I called them because of this very order. Ordering the scope was no problem, it was shipped very quickly (ordered on Saturday, two day shipping received on Tuesday). The acog came opened and assembled which I confirmed with trijicon that they do not do. Then called optics planet I could order another and receive in three days and get refunded on the first item. Or ship back and get another in a month. Then called trijicon, gave them the serial # (this item does not show on their website as a package they sell, in fact they do) they told me that it had not been registered and the exact date it was built. Which less than a month before I recieved it, so it is legitimate. Overall I got the scope for over a thousand dollars off list price but had to do a little research and got a little frustrated. I replaced the cr2032 battery in the rmr and took it the range, hope all goes well....
Pros:
  • Cheap
  • good scope
Cons:
  • frustrating
Best Used for:
  • AR15

Expensive but worth it. OP has the best price around when factoring in their customer service, free shipping, coupons, etc....

Awesome on a SCAR 16S

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on October 15, 2012
This is an absolutely fantastic scope. No problems...keeps zero...does the job. I went with the RMR for the "just in case" scenario.
Pros: Keeps zero...Trijicon can't go wrong
Cons: Not the greatest for the super long distance shot, but not made for it either, so I wouldnt call this a con....

Dependable, versatile, high quality boo ya.

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on February 22, 2012
Since magnfication at close range is not optimal and in fact can be quite a problem, the dot piggyback sits flawlessly on top ready for CQB issues. No need to physically have to flip a magnifier aside when I can drop immediately to the dot reticle with my eyes. If you ever have to do this its probably during a time when time is precious and very possibly life saving. As in yours. Love this piece of equipment. Tough, dependable. High quality product. Can't say enough.
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing...

Couldn't be happier

I bought this because a buddy owned the same scope. However, he had ordered the red dot sight separately and tried to mount it himself and had a lot of difficulty. Ordering both sighting systems pre-installed is a big improvement. The chevron reticle is one of the best things I like about the scope. Also the ranging reticle works flawlessly. After the initial sighting in at 50 meters I was able to consistantly hit 4 inch targets at 600 yards. This proves the adage that good things come in small packages....

Superiour Item!

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on August 21, 2011
This is a great scope with dot combo. The item arrived as shown, the optics are amazing, the dot is pretty standard fare but since it is all self contained it was well worth the extra. Nothing like a backup site for close range! Pricey but you really get what you pay for!
Pros: This is probably one of the best gunsights on the market
Cons: cost... but you get what you pay for!...
