Outstanding all-purpose sight

by David, from United States, NC Written on September 12, 2014
PROS - The Yellow or Orange front sight allows for fast target acquisition, without any visual confusion from the much more muted color of the rear sight. The U-shaped notch in the rear sight makes left / right centering of the front sight much easier and faster to determine than standard square notches. The tritium is very bright in the dark without being too bright (the glow is bright enough to slightly illuminate YOU if you aren't carrying concealed).

INTERMEDIATE - You should get YELLOW tritium for the rear sight (the front tritium is always green), so that way you don't have confusion at night with trying to figure out which of the 3 green dots is the front vs rear. Also yellow tritium is a bit dimmer than green, so your front green dot at night will be a little brighter than your rear yellow dots, which is also an advantage.

CONS - Installation and zeroing the rear sight are somewhat complicated and either should be done by an armorer, or if you do it yourself, you will need a file / Dremel to file down the base of the rear sight. It is too big to install the unmodified rear sight - it will NOT slide into the groove at the rear of the slide without the base being filed down quite a bit. You will also need a hammer / vice / punch or a sight adjustment tool in order to fully push the rear sight into the slide groove after you have filed the base of the sight some. You will also need these to slide the rear sight when zeroing it at the range. Lots of YouTube v...

I would recommend this sight to anyone looking for a high quality sight, which meets the standards of both tactical shooters and the casual shooter. The price is a little high, but worth it in my opinion....

Amazing sights

by SuperheroSmith, from United States, ID Written on August 29, 2014
I can easily and quickly acquire my front sight, especially in the day. These are rugged sights. I also recommend using the Maryland Gun Works/Trijicon sight tool for the Glock 19/26/41/etc. At this point I wouldn't have any other sight on my Glock....

Great sight set

by Jim, from United States, GA Written on August 29, 2014
I meticulously researched the aftermarket options for replacing the sight on my Glock 19, and this set was by far the best option. I use the G19 as my multi-role mobile personal defense pistol so the sights needed to be suitable for both day and night conditions. This set meets the criteria and excels when you need to get on target quickly. The yellow front outline is superb for target acquisition in a variety of backdrop situations....
Pros:
  • durable
  • Sight picture
  • Contrast
  • Bright glow
Cons:
  • Pricey

Great product

These sights are great for daytime/nighttime visablity. The larger dot is great for older eyes as well as quick target shots. Trijicon makes a great product. We like offering these to all our customers.
Thanks!...

Trijicon GL 101 O HD night sight for Glock

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on March 16, 2014
These sights are heavy duty and bright in daylight or low light. But they are impossible to adjust/machine so they are very accurate. After filing the rear sight to fit and installing them I was shooting 4" low and left at 12 yards. If they were filed enough to make them accurate they would not fit in the rear sight dovetail. They were a lot of money for lousy accuracy.
Pros: Heavy duty and very bright
Cons: Impossible to set up to be very accurate...

Exactly what I expected

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on December 27, 2013
Love these sights. Install wasn't to hard with the right sight pusher for the rear.
Orange front sight glows great during the day, and the rear sight isn't "busy" its a natural line up. The transition into night sights is awesome. Metal, durable, awesome.
Pros: Glow bright, work well in day
Cons: None...
