I wanted to use my ACOG TA11H-308 scope on a M1A. It is immediately apparent that a different scope mount is required so I went with this rail mount. It fits well on the M1A, you do have to remove the stripper clip guide from the rifle in order for the mount to be installed.
The scope when installed must sit off the rear of the rail for proper eye relief, which causes me some concern. I would prefer the entire scope on the mount.
It is a good design overall, but should extend further back. Oh, and it is really expensive.
Pros: FIts perfectly with my M1A
Cons: Rail does not extend quite far enough back to allow proper eye relief for ACOG Scopes, thus defeating the purpose. ...
