Pros: White outline for daytime shooting, look like factory sights.
Cons: Trijicon always cost more than competitors.
Would recommend: yes

These sights look great. They closely resemble the OEM sights, and they give a good sight picture day or night, because of their white outlines, As is the case with most other night sights, you will need a sight pusher to install.

Pros: Shaped like the factory sights. Also fit S&W SD series.
Cons: Trijicon cost more than Meprolight.
Would recommend: yes

These sights are made for the S&W M&P series, but they will also fit the S&W SD series since both have the same size dovetail. The SD comes with front night sights, but if you want rear night sights on it as well, this will cover you. The Trijicon front sight is slightly shorter than the factory sight, so if you are shooting low with the factory sight, this will help. I could have bought the Meprolight set which cost less, and are very good, but these Trijicon Novak sights retain the look of those that come on it. They look great on my SD40.

I bought the green front w/ the yellow rear. I think the best option is to have both green front and rear sights as the green glows better than any other color available. YOU NEED TO HAVE A GUNSMITH OR SIGHT INSTALLATION TOOL TO INSTALL. You can't just pound these sights into place with a punch and hammer. The sights very closely resemble the factory sights which makes sight re-alignment a breeze. Over all this product is a must have for LEO's and anyone shooting at night.

Pros: Sights glow really bright. White "ring" helps with daylight sight alignment.
Cons: Push sights are hard to install by nature. Other than that, I love these sights. So no real cons.
Would recommend: yes

Currently have on a full size S&W M&P40 for home defense. 2 Yellow Rear, 1 Green front provides great contrast for faster sight acquisition. Front green sight is noticeably brighter than the rear yellow sights, but this is a good thing; You want the rears to be slightly out of focus. I will be getting these (SP01) on my XD40 sub compact for concealed carry. Night sights are expensive, but I believe they're worth it.

Very good quality night sights. Hard to remove the factory sights. Might need a bit of filing of the sight base for installation.

I tried these sights * am extreemly unhappy with them. Yes, they are excellent in the dark, but unfortunetly after repeated attempts to sight them in, I still am shooting low. I tried to return the sights, but Optics Planet refused to refund my money, saying the had been mounted and therefore used. Will try to sell them on eBay now & take a substantial loss. Do not buy these sights!
