much better than stock sites!

by Josh, from United States, NV Written on December 22, 2014
The Trigicon night sights were installed on a 9mm S&W S&P. Great upgrade for the firearm. Easy to install if you have a sight tool. Or go to a gun smith and get them put on for you. I wouldn't recommend just tapping them in with a punch. The rear sight is very tight and could easily pinch.

Night glow is excellent and sight picture is quite good. The dots could be a bit bigger but all in all I think this a great choice. I gave it four stars because of price. Much more expensive than a compreble sight....
Pros:
  • Night time clarity
Cons:
  • Pricey!!!!!!
Best Used for:
  • Home defense, LEO/Military use

Love these sights!

by ndnbrav, from United States, CA Written on December 15, 2014
This is my second set of these sights from Optics Planet. I bought my first set 2 yrs ago for my full-size M&P 45 that I keep by the bed. This set was bought for my new M&P 9c. The SA37Y's have nice crisp dots that are easier for me to line up due to the color contrast. I also have a Sig P220 Equinox with the factory night sights. Those are nice too, but have a little larger 3 dot set that glow all in green. The Sig's sights seem to have a softer glow and take a hair longer to acquire in low light conditions since they don't have the white outline. These SA37Y's have nice bright white outlines that are great in very bright to low light situations. I installed both sets on my M&P's myself using a piece of 1/4" key stock and a hammer. I placed the slide in a rag and set in a soft jaw vice. Then, I wrapped the key stock with some painters tape so I didn't scratch the dovetail or slide. Watch a video or 2 to learn how to drift the sights off/on....
Pros:
  • quality product
  • price, was on sale
  • Craftsmanship
Cons:
  • None what so ever
Best Used for:
  • home protection
  • self defense, target shooting

great buy for the money

by derk, from United States, MO Written on November 25, 2014
These work great on my weapon. And with a half life of 12 years how can you go wrong. Professional installation suggested. They really allow you to keep in target in the dark. I would buy again and will for every side arm I own...

Didn't Fit

by Big Bad John, from United States, FL Written on August 30, 2014
The sight would not fit the front dovetail slot in the M&P-45 slide. A fully qualified gunsmith was not able to install the sight.

The package might have contained an incorrect front sight.

I returned it for an exchange....

Trijicon BNTNS should be standard

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, KY Written on October 13, 2013
In my humble opinion, these sights could be factory on all modern handguns, they'll be on all of mine. They add the night sight while retaining factory three dot day sight functionality. I had "gone cheap" on other night sights and the fiber optic came loose in the front sight on my M&P .45 - I believe these Trijicon sights will last without issue. My "old eyes" needed the three dot and missed it on the cheaper night sights. I really like these Trijicon Bright -N- Tough Night Sights. Great for IDPA too by the way!
Pros: three dot and night sight in one set
Cons: did not come with set screw...

Sa37 sights

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on March 30, 2013
Love my new sights... Im partial to trijicon but these are worth the money if you have it. They allow for quick target aquisition in day or night and dont loosen up as is the case with some cheaper other brands
Pros: Bright tritium and very durable
Cons: Higher cost...

Trijicon SA37 Front & Rear Night Sight - S&W M&P Series

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on January 11, 2013
Ive installed night sights on quite a few of my pistols that came stock with contrast or painted dot sights and these Trijicons are a good choice. They are not likely to cause holster snag, the day use outline is crisp and clear, the tritium inserts produce good illumination and the fact they are Trijicon gives me confidence they will last for years of recoil and general wear and tear. My guns dont sit in the safe; they get used and many see thousands of rounds each year. I have purchased many Trijicon products; not the cheapest but I have never been disappointed.
Pros: Low profile and clean profile for holster use
Cons: quality products are expensive....deal with it!...
