The TFO sights are excellent in extreme lighting conditions, but in transitional light, they are harder to aline. Overall, a great sight for CCW.

This handgun sight is possibly the best I have ever used in the category of non-magnified sights. It allows for very rapid target aquisition and can be visualized in quite variable light conditions. A must for the serious ccw permit holders.

Bought this for my S&W M&P .40 and loved it so much I had to get one for my G17. Definitely need the Glock Sight install tool. Using a punch is recommended.

Pros: Very bright both day and night, the sights will get brighter as the light source directly hits the fiber optic, and the tritium is great for night situations, any videos you see on You Tube do not show just how bright these sights are in full darkness.
Cons: None
Would recommend: yes

Pros: Works as advertised, both night and day
Cons: very flimsy front sight
Would recommend: yes
aim14 wrote:
Installed the sight without any specialist tools, aligned it and locked all screws with thread locking agent. But after around 500 shots the front sight became loose! The problem is that one - just one - very thin screw is holding a very elongated front sight and there is simply too much torque and stress on that point as the gun is shot(the sight is elongated due to fiber insert). Had to re-install it TWICE using metal based epoxy until it finally seemed to be fixed permanently. Simply re-tightening and re-locking the screw did not do any good. Great concept, but very poor solution. The front sight opening in the slide is simply not designed for such sights.

Love these sight really made a difference at the range. And $20 less than the gun store price. Unless you have experience with removing the Sights on your XD don't attempt. Take it to a gunsmith for installation. The XD sights are almost impossible to remove with out the right tools.

Pros: Great idea, liked them at first
Cons: Doesn't hold up to shooting rigors
Would recommend: no

I like the idea, but after about 500 to 600 rounds the tritium ring on the front post fell out allowing the fiber optic to drop down in the front post housing. I just can't give a good rating after falling apart like that.
