Great value for money

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on October 31, 2013
Having no knowledge about binoculars and too much time on my hands, I spent a month researching and trying before I bought these. It was worth it.

The important things for me were....
1. Size, weight and robustness suitable for travel and hiking.
2. Quality optics inside that package.
3. Cost.

Without quoting all the specs, these binoculars ticked all of those boxes.

The Spirit ED series has a decent variety of magnification and sizes (8x36, 8x42, 10x42, 10x50) which I assume are equal in optical and build quality.

The poor quality serial number and "Made in China" stickers fell off within a day of trials.

Comes with removable lense covers, strap, cloth and a very nice padded, flexible pouch with belt and strap attachments.

Lifetime warrantee.

Pros: Too many to mention here
Cons: Serial number on a cheap sticker....

Very Nice Binos

I have a pair of Leica 10x25 that are excellent, but the field view was limited at the Hollywood bowl, so I found these on sale with a $50 mail in rebate. These meet and compare favorably to the Leica. My wife now uses the Leica and I use the Vanguard. They are bright, easy to focus and very comfortable. I really like the size as well.
Pros: compact, very nice construction, easy to use...
