I purchased this tripod for use with my high end DSLR after a recommendation from a pro photographer and haven't looked back. Compared to other much more expensive tripods in the same category, the Vanguard is every bit as good. Quick to setup and easily adjusted for rough terrain. Also purchased the Vanguard ABH-120K ball head which works beautifully. My background is engineering and I can honestly say that this equipment is very well made and is a great value.
