Great laser with tremendous range

by Rob M, from United States, FL Written on August 23, 2014
This is a great laser! After using several red lasers, the difference when using this green laser is amazing. Visibility is about 100 yes in daylight and several hundred yards at night. Very compact unit that attaches solidly to rail. I highly recommend!...

Viridian C5L

by winmag, from United States, NY Written on August 13, 2014
Great laser/light combo that fits good and has a sleek design, it doesn't stick out past the end of barrel like some lights. The only down side is that the battery cap becomes loose while your shooting to where it loses a connection, just need to keep it tight....

Issues after owning it for 2 years

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, AZ Written on June 7, 2014
After owning this particular Viridian laser/w light module for over 2 years, I probably wouldn't go back and purchase another one.

The module has been mounted on my home defense gun since the day I got it. I took it out the the range on a regular basis and practiced night shoot with it. What I like about this laser/light combo is that it is really compact and the laser and light are both really bright. Viridian also made a special holster for the module. It is decent quality.

Let's talk about some of the issues I have had with this module. 1. It is difficult to replace the battery. If you are not being really careful, it is easy to ruin the threads on the battery cap. Once that happens, your module becomes useless. 2. Occasionally, the laser would fail to turn on. I had to remove the battery and put it back for it to work. 3. After using it for over a year or so, it started to have problem when I switch to the modes which both laser and the flash light are enable at the same time. It would work for a few seconds then it would just shut off. I thought it was battery issue, so I have tried it with a few brand new batteries and the issues persists.
Pros: Small size, light weight, easy mode switch
Cons: Hard to replace the battery, problem using both laser and light at the same time...

Cool product, poor service

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on February 13, 2014
Front seal blew out due to tight fit with ECR holster (Sig 220 combat). Returned to factory. When I got it back, the laser dot was 3.5" ellipse at 20ft (thanks for the free pack of batteries). Disappointing to say the least. I returned it again. They sent acknowledgement that it was received on Feb 5th and I would receive an email when they ship the new replacement. Today is Feb 13 and no news. I bought this from OP in mid october and it has been in the shop most of this time. Based on my experience, a waste of time and not a good use of my money. Reference RMA 3131. Good luck if you have a problem.
Pros: cool product
Cons: poor service...

C5L Viridian Laser for Sub-compact XD

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on October 26, 2013
Received this laser promptly after ordering. Was able to mount to my XD 40 Sub-compact within 10 minutes after reading the instruction booklet. Was able to visually sight in the laser easily and quickly. Ambidextrous on/off switch easy to manipulate and lines up with proper finger placement when drawing from holster. Brightest and clearest laser I have had experience with so far, even in daylight. Now for the cons: Had to send the laser back to Viridian the same day I received it due to cross-threading the battery cap, which I already knew about being a problem before buying the laser. When I called Viridian and told them what had happened, they promptly sent me a shipping label for UPS to my e-mail. They received the laser, repaired it and shipped it back to me all within 2 weeks. WOW! and NO CHARGE. Another was with the Viridian TacLock holster. Great concept if you don't plan to carry concealed. I was unable to get the holster and gun to pull up close to my body even with tightening my belt overly tight. Sent it back to Viridian and they again supplied a UPS shipping label at no charge and credited my Credit Card. In other words, the service from Optics and Viridian could not be improved on. Cannot voice any comments regarding laser function with firing my weapon as yet, but expect the experience to be good.
Pros: Brightness, ease of installation/sight adj., on/off switch
Cons: Battery cap threads...

Best Compact Grn Laser/Light Combo

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on September 24, 2013
I Already own 2 of the larger versions, the X5L, and decided to get this for my Sig P229. Absolutely looks like it's made for the gun, and ergonomics are right there to access the button switch quickly and reliably. although I wish there was a means of having a brighter light in this compact package, the illumination factor of the light was designed quite well. It's not a spotlight but rather a tight patterned flood that performs well in a close quarter environment. Laser is an all around great performer just like it's big brother the X5L....
Pros: Small Functional & Aesthetically Tactical Package
Cons: Price, but I guess you get what you pay for!!! Wish there was a way to pay more Lumens in this package......

Nice and compact

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on August 27, 2013
This is exactly what I was hoping to get for my Glock 22 (40 cal). It fits nicely under the barrel and does not extend beyond like some other light/laser combinations at which I looked. The light and laser are powerful enough for the range in which they will be used.
Pros: Compact and easy to operate with the side buttons.
Cons: A little bit confusing to set up the default laser/flashlight, but that is mainly my fault....

Viridian rocks w/ features fof the money

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on August 17, 2013
Number of options making this perfect for your personal home defense needs. Laser or not, flash or not, strobe or not or combination makes this perfect for me to decide my need on the fly. But read and practice changing settings -- not for learning at the last second! Holster is also great for on the belt carry.
Pros: MULTIPLE settings
Cons: None really - just read instructions...
