Great on My 300 AAC Blackout (subsonic)

by Long Colt, from United States, NE Written on December 21, 2014
This scope has the most bang for the $ (4-12 x 44) and the lenses are very clear. I would compare the clarity to a Leupold VX2. Focus is a bit more critical than the Leupold but not $150.00 worth. Easy adjustable turrets that are resettable back to zero. One click is actually 1/4 MOA that's nice don't find that to be true in optics in the sub $300.00 range. I now have a Vortex scope in each class ( Crossfire II, Benchmark, and the Viper ) I am impressed with all of them....
Pros:
  • Cost when compared to competitors.
  • Very well made
  • Good eye relief
  • 100% Waterproof and Fog Proof
  • Clarity is great
  • unlimited unconditional Warranty
  • finger adjustable 1/4 MOA clicks.
  • Zero Reset Turrets
  • BDC Class F works in my 300 Blackout sub-sonic loads
  • Ranging is done at highest power
Cons:
  • focus is a little on the critical side but not to bad.

Great value.

You can easily spend 2-3x as much on a similar scope. The vortex warranty is lifetime, no exceptions. That's as good as it gets. Fits perfectly with a riser, to get above my A2 sights on my AR. Quick acquisition optics are clear and accurate....

Vortex scopes.

by WILLIAM SMITH, from United States, TX Written on August 29, 2014
If you are looking for a quality scope that won't bust your budget, give Vortex a try. This is my third Vortex scope I've bought, 2 Crossfires and one Viper.
The optics are extremely clear and are as good as,if not better, than Leupold at a fraction of the cost.
I would strongly recommend the Vortex line for anything from rimfire plinking to long range target or hunting.
Give Vortex a try, you won't be disappointed....
Pros:
  • Price, performance and warranty
Cons:
  • None yet!
