Very Nice Scope

by Jwg443ua, from United States, AL Written on December 21, 2014
This is a very nice scope. I own a Vortex StrikeFire II red dot that is really nice so when I needed a reasonably priced rifle scope I went with Vortex. The optics on the scope are super clear and the 50mm lens really helps in low light situations. If you are looking for a reasonable priced rifle scope with high end quality, I would definitely recommend Vortex....

Great Value

by Garyg, from United States, GA Written on November 5, 2014
I purchased this scope for my AR platform but it was too large
and thus I returned. But before I did, I gave it a good review.
This is a great value for the dollar and I would recommend. The optics are super clear
with good eye relief. My neighbor has a 2000 dollar Vortex scope but these model has all the same features....

Outstanding Value

by Christian, from United States, WA Written on October 7, 2014
I needed a good scope for my high-powered Benjamin Trail NP XL 1100 air rifle. I wanted performance (clarity, good in low-light, parallax adjustable to 15 yards), durability (high recoil air rifles are hard on scopes) and good warranty all at a price I can afford. I am so glad I chose this Vortex scope.
I had to shim under the rear ring to sight in the scope at 20 yds which compromised the ring alignment - which I ignored. I had to torque the ring screws really high because otherwise the scope wouldn't stay put in the rings and move from the recoil. All went well for about 2,000 shots when the reticule came apart and rotated. I sent the scope to Vortex. Ten days later it came back with a note: Scope cannot be repaired, tube was bent because it was torqued too high in the rings. We are sending you a replacement. No charge. Wow. I didn't know what I was doing and had wrecked the first scope and Vortex gave me a second chance no questions asked :-)). Being smarter now I spent some money on a lapping kit and torque screwdriver. I have now placed a shim under the rear mount against the weaver rail, lapped the rings, and torqued to Vortex specs (just 15 in-lbs on the ring screws). Scope hasn't moved in 200 shots and my groups are smaller. The rifle is keeping 0 from day to day which wasn't the case while I had the first scope mounted inappropriately. The optics of this scope are just uperb for this price range. You can go all the way up to 12x and the picture is still bri...

Greatest Scope for The Money

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, FL Written on April 4, 2014
I did a great deal of shopping before I purchased the Vortex Crossfire II. I compared a large number of higher price scopes too, but for the money, this value and quality can't be beat. I mounted it on my Rem 700 Classic 257 Roberts using a DNZ one piece mount. The scope is very clear edge to edge at 100 yards as I have not shot at any greater distance to date. I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend this scope if you are shopping in this price range.
Pros: Quality and Clarity
Cons: Could use a slightly thicker recticle...

Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x50 AO Dead-Hold BDC Reticle

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on February 28, 2013
I purchased this rifle scope to put on my new CZ 455 Varmit in 22 WMR with the thumb hole stock. It works perfectly for that rifle and would work for any 22 rifle. This is a very nifty scope. Just wish it had the ability to dial elevation without removing lens caps so it would be more field friendly. I realize the BDC reticle is supposed to take care of this but I'd like a little better control. All in all, though, this is one great scope for the money. It clear, easy for these old eyes to see through, and performs flawlessly. I might buy another one for another rifle I'm thinking of getting.
Pros: Great value for good quality glass
Cons: Just wish it had a lighted center dot...
