Very clear

by Dan, from United States, NY Written on April 11, 2015
I have a couple other $200-$300 scopes that work very good but at max magnification blur a little. This scope stays clear all the way up to its 18x max. It is on my kids' 243 I have set up for long range, we have dialed it out to 500 and 600 with no problem ringing steel. Great having resettable to zero adjustments and adjustable objective(parallax adjustment). Having a one inch tube it doesn't look enormous on the small rifle, just big enough to be cool. Comes with the sun shade, another scope a little below this price doesn't, its $20 for it, so its not cheaper....

Excellent value

by Brad, from United States, OR Written on March 25, 2015
I bought this for a 17HMR rifle and it is perfect for it. The clarity is well beyond anything else at the same price point. I found the parallax adjustment to be a bit off but easily compensated for. The eye relief is generous. In many ways, I could compare it to my Zeiss but they are still very different. If you are looking for a nice quality scope at a very reasonable cost, Vortex is the ONLY option that you need to consider....
Pros:
  • eye relief
  • Cost/value
  • clarity of glass
Cons:
  • parallax adjustment is off

Nice scoope and great for the price. Just order two more one for me and one for my brother.

by CS, from United States, CO Written on March 4, 2015
Bought this on the recommendation of my brother.
I got this for a Marlin X7VH 308 26" within about 6 shots at 100 yards (after over correcting the fist 2 ) I was very close, It was quite windy that day and NEW gun cheep ammo. Went out next weekend and did a few 380 yard shots again windy but was very close too. Glass is not GREAT, but VERY GOOD for scope that is a in this price range with this power and AO ( $200 ) . I didn't expect a 600.00 or better glass (even guys at Vortex will tell you that). As light gathering goes if you can see it with the naked eye I would say you see it well with this scope.
Nice to know IF there is a problem that Vortex WILL take care of me.
It is good enough to buy a second one, That will go on an AR-15 type rifle.
I May get the Vortex Diamondback or Viper for my X7VH or my next long range Rifle later and put this Crossfire on a lighter hunting rifle....

This is a great scope for the money. Once mounted i only had to move it 3 clicks to the right. It is just as good as my leupold that I spent 3x as much for. I thought I would try the vortex brand and will definitely buy again. I liked it so much I bought another one a week later....
Pros:
  • red dot
  • Clear vision
  • very accurate strait out of box
Cons:
  • none... yet

Excellent bang for the buck

by Terry Lindgren, from United States, CA Written on January 20, 2015
First of all I am a devote Vortex Scope person. This is my third and "most economical" Vortex Scope. I wanted something better to put on my .223 so opted for Vortex Crossfire II 6-18x44 AO Rifle Scope. As usual, it is more quality for the buck than ever. Great quality....

Vortex crossfire 6-18-44

by Matt, from New Zealand, Waikato Written on January 18, 2015
Amazing clear scope. 100% happy with my purchase.
With the high power zoom you can see you bullets holes for adjustment. At full zoom I didn't experience any blurring.
Also eye relief stayed very reasonable unlike other scopes....

Great scope for the money

by Rugershooter, from United States, NY Written on January 16, 2015
The scope is very clear, even at 18 power, and has excellent eye relief. The free sunshade is a nice perk. Zeroed on a .308 in three rounds, and has held Zero so far. Exceptional value for the money. The scope is rather large, and will add a bit of weight to your rifle, which you might want to keep in mind if weight is an issue. I ordered the bdc reticle and vortex has a nice ballistics calculator to help match ammunition to your rifle and optic.....
Pros:
  • clairty
  • magnification range
  • price/performance
Cons:
  • Heavy
Best Used for:
  • hunting
  • Target, Long Range Hunting, Varminteering

Vortex Crossfire ll 6x18x44

by Love the outdoors, from United States, CA Written on December 22, 2014
We ordered the product Vortex Crossfire ll 6x18x44 and got it within a week in perfect condition. We told our nephew about it and he's looking forward to ordering one from Opticsplanet.com too. We love this product so much and we're looking forward to ordering more from them. The only problem we have is, the delivery was made poorly by the post office. We waited all day for the product to arrived and there was no mail. However, my husband went to work thinking it was not going to be here today (Dec.10 2014). When he came back from work at 10:50pm, the package was left on thr from door. We lived in a apartment complex where people goes back and forth all day. Anybody could have picked it up. Our area is infested with drug dealers, gang violence and the highest crime rate in the nation. Again, this is the Post Office mistake, not Opticsplanet.com. We hope that in the future, the Post Office, UPS and FedEx will changed the way they delivered their mail. Never dropped off packages and leaved....

Awesome!!!!!!

by Rimfire shooter, from United States, CT Written on December 2, 2014
Simply an awesome scope. This performs as well as a $1000 scope I own. Crisp clear and holds zero without hesitation. Well worth the purchase. This goes out to 150yds and is so stable it's scary. I'm shooting 22 magnum and it destroys targets....
Pros:
  • Works as well as my Zeiss for 1/3 the cost
Cons:
  • none... yet
