Good rimfire scope

by HKSJoo, from United States, NV Written on September 16, 2014
This was my first rimfire scope i have ever purchased, but my 2nd vortex optics that i have purchased. The thing i love about vortex is their lifetime, no questions asked warranty. This was mounted on my 10/22 and i got it zeroed in within 30 rounds. Decent zoom capabilities for what a 22lr can do. sight pic is clear and crisp....
Pros:
  • Price
  • Warranty
  • Clear sharp views
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Plicking
  • paper punching

Great rimfire scope

This scope is great. I bought this along with a Nikon P-22 and this one blows the P-22 away.
Pros: clear glass for the money...

Amazing

Possibly the best rimfire scope on the market.
Lowlight or spotlighting - this is the scope to have.

Pros: HUGE field of view, extremely bright
Cons: Eye relief could be better...

Great optics and features but...

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on July 8, 2013
I would give this scope 5 stars for everything but on closer inspection I found a couple of minor faults:

There should be 4 screws that holds something internally but one is missing. It looks like there is some glue or something in its place.

Also when zoomed right out there is a slight crescent visible around the edge of the FOV which suggests maybe something is not quite lined up as it should be.

I measured 81 MOA of vertical travel and 120 MOA of horizontal travel... as far as I am aware the best 2-7 scope within the $150-$200 price range. The field of view at 2x is over 60 feet (at 100 yards)... most 2x scopes manage around 45 feet.
Pros: Good range of features for the price, huge field of view, best warranty out there, good optics for the price, perfect for .22s , very solid design, huge adjustment range, dialable turrets
Cons: Quality control could be better....

Not advertised correctly

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on May 16, 2012
Features list illuminated reticle, it does not have one. Has good clear optics and warrenty is second to none. If the illumination is not a deal breaker for you it is a nice scope. But if I had known it did not have the extra features listed I would have probably ordered something shorter for my rifle.
Pros: clear, wide FOV
Cons: NO Illuminated Reticle...

Wow, high quality!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on April 24, 2012
This is my first Vortex, and not disappointed. High build quality,I bought the "Dealer DEMO" open box and from what I can tell its just like new - everything included in the box, great value from Opticsplanet. I would buy another one next time since my rimfire rifle collection is getting bigger every year....
Pros: Excellent clarity, bright, and solidly built...

Same "vibe" as center fire version

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on April 20, 2012
Already had the center fire version of this scope and wanted the same "vibe" for my .22. Best field of vision (FOV)on any scope in this price range. Controls are easy to use and stay set. Good eye relief. Very clear sight picture and no fogging to date but have not shot in wet conditions yet this year. Only downside is it does not come in "camo."

Pros: Great field of view. Clear sight picture.
Cons: Doesn't come in camo....
