Just what I needed. Fast delivery. Better than fair price. Solid on my Panther DPMS M4 and even with 1x only, I shot a 5 shot group at 100yds at 1/2 inch.

Pros:  Price and ease of use
Cons:  None

The scope was easy to use and set up. I use prescription glases and have some minor glare in low light conditions (this is normal). It holds zero great. I managed several great groupings at 100 yards using the 2X magnifier. If you plan to use your Vortex for longer shots, you may want to consider a scope as opposed to a red dot, since the 4 MOA dot gets considerably big at 200 - 300 yards. Great purchase, quality and usability for the price. Moreover OpticsPlanet has the best service I have experienced from an online retailer. They exceeded all my expectations!

Pros:  everything about it
Cons:  power button in an easy to hit location
Would recommend:  yes

bought this three days ago, and it arrived lightning fast. exterior of unit is of high quality ( sturdy mount perfectly co-witnesses with my AR sights, easy to get sighted in with quality elevation and windage adjustments, doubler works as advertised, ). when my unit arrived, i initially thought it was dead...had to hit the NV button...if your dot doesn't come on, skip the trouble shooting guide in the instructions, and press the NV button before you panic and call IT. :) holds zero fine, be sure to really tighten the spring washer tensioned mounting screw down. would buy one again in a heart beat. reviews on several AR sites show just how much abuse they can take. recommend reading them. they sold me.

My only gripe is that the on-off button is too easy to inadvertently turn off as it is mounted on the side.

Pros:  Toggles between Red and Green, IR capable
Cons:  Switch set-up can be confusing
Would recommend:  yes

I now have four of these. One on a SIG556, one on an AR15, one on a SWD M/9-MAX-11 sub-machine gun (Full-auto)and one on an FNC machinegun. All have been reliable, even after thousands of rounds of full-auto punishment. Battery life is very good, and they hold zero rock solid. I had an Aimpoint shake apart on the subgun abter about 3,000 rounds.

Pros:  Good dot for the price. Vortex Customer Service is top notch.
Cons:  My first one was defective.
Would recommend:  yes

This is a pretty good red dot for the price. The first one I got was very dim and virtually unusable. But as stated Vortex customer service was top notch! Called and explained the problem and was immediately cross shipped with a new one two day service. Now that is customer loyalty my friends. I also use a crossfire 30mm scope that is pretty good as well. New dot is very bright even in the bright california sun. Let's face it it's not a Aimpoint but it definitely works good for the range and practice run and gun. Recommended!

Pros:  Easy to setup
Cons:  Button configuration
Would recommend:  yes

KevinS wrote:

I currently have this mounted on my Stag Arms AR-15. It is very easy to setup, and I like being able to flip between a red and green dot depending on situation. The 2x tube is a nice feature that helps for mid-range target shooting, but out past 200 yards doesn't help too much. One thing I don't care for is the button configuration. The power button is on the side and gets toggled when in a case on when the rifle is on a sling. I would have liked to have this button on the top of the scope. Also, there is a Night Vision button that immediately puts the scope on the minimum brightness level. If I was part of a special forces unit and issued a $150 scope, I would appreciate this feature and use it often (?). As a recreational shooter, I usually hit this button inadvertantly when trying to adjust the brightness. Other than that, I am very pleased with the scope.
