Vortex StrikeFire Red Dot Riflescope

stigmatism is only a very small shape in the lens of your eye.
Pros: Price, design and quality are excellent.
Cons: I would really like "see through" lens caps for emergency deployment. Caps are also a little tight. Good for protection, bad in that they make an audible "pop" on opening....

Great Red Dot Scope for the Money

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WA Written on February 18, 2014
This is a great scope for the money. It was easy to install and with the high mounts it will allow for co-witness with front sights. Only downside is the flip up caps are a little stiff to snap off and on
Pros: Easy install, Clear Glass, Co-witness
Cons: Flip up caps are too stiff...

Second strikefire

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on November 2, 2013
First, these are about 1/3 the price of an aimpoint. Unless your life depends on your equipment or you have to have name brand tacticool stuff on your AR. I would go with this vortex. The caps on my first one were pretty hard to close, but much easier on the newest one(Press them in the center if you have trouble). These red/green dots are an outstanding value and a great low light sight.
Pros: Holds zero, comes with mount and caps, night vision mode is useful at night without NVD
Cons: none...

Grumpy Leadslinger

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, AK Written on October 19, 2013
Ease of installation, functionality, great features and price make the Strikefire a great value.

The high intensity dot setting shows ragged display during day and night use for both red and green settings. The magnifier is a little cumbersome due to number of threads required to seat the device. Also, there was no seal inside the Strikefire's view lens or at the threaded base of the magnifier to prevent moisture during wet weather use. This was not discovered until after installation, but would not have detered my purchase unless a scope of equal value and quality were right next to me, with the seal.
Pros: Great features for price
Cons: Cumbersome magnifier...

Plug and Play Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, FL Written on October 13, 2013
What can I says, out of the box this scope was plug and play to install. Solid great piece of hardware and excellent value as all Vortex products. It lined right up dot to dot with the laser boresighter on my Colt LE6920. If you have an AR this is a must unless want to spend much more and get the same. Also OpticsPlanet has been great and the best prices. Believe me I buy everything online you cant go wrong with them!!!
Pros: Extreme value for the money I love Vortex great products
Cons: Nothing...

Good value

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on October 4, 2013
I was nervous when I unwraped it and found a sticker on the bottom that read "Made in China". I have to say after about 400 rounds atop my beloved AK 47, it has proven itself in all aspects. The only reason I can think of to NOT buy this holo is if you dont like China:) ...
