YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG ON PRICE. FOR WHAT YOU GET. IF WAS PRICED LIKE THE OTHER TOP OF THE LINE BINO'S YOU WOULD PAY ANOTHER $300.00 PLUS DOLLAR FOR THESE BINO'S. I'VE DROPPED IN MTN'S WITH NO DAMAGE. CAN HANDLE SOME TUFF ABUSE. THANKS VORTEX FOR BUILDING A QUALITY BINO FOR A VERY REASONABLE PRICE....

Vortex Viper 10 x 42

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on July 30, 2009
I bought these because I wanted the 10 power. I own a pair of 8X42 Bushnell's Excursions? and I really can't tell the difference in the optics. The Vortex have some nice features that the Bushnell pair "skimmped" on, such as the straps (cheap on the Bushnell) & right eye focus lock on the Vortex. But, the price was $200 more for the Vortx. Not sure it was worth the extra, but still a very good pair of binoculars.
Pros: Waterproof, straps, locking right eyepiece focus
Cons: Nothing specific...
