Matches up to all high-end scopes!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, GA Written on August 4, 2013
Great scope for the money! Mounted on my Armalite AR-10 and am consistently hitting 700+ meters! Since I do not have a 20moa rail/scope mount, the scope tops out about 850-900 yards. But for the hobbyist long range shooter, this is more than enough scope to keep you hitting consistently!
Pros: Reliable, well made, accurate
Cons: none...

BEST BUY ITEM

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on May 23, 2013
My first experience with the Viper PST was great. I was looking at the Leupold LR, but the cost was nearly double. My son found the PST. I couldn't really tell the difference when comparing the two, so I took the plunge, saved enough, nearly, for a second scope and have never looked back. The reticles are fine enough for accurate shooting close in or at a distance. I have the SFP (Second Focal Plane) model so I use a ballistic calculator instead of trying to read distances by using the milling reticle ( the likely reason one reviewer couldn't get his scope to work consistently). I have never had the slightest variation in zero and the CRS Zero-stop works quite well, though I'd really like to see a full zero stop. I have this scope on two of my rifles and both perform superbly. I recently sent one of my PST outfitted guns in to Teludyne Tech to have some work done on it and they, too, were impressed with the clarity and quality of the build. Can't say enough good about this scope and will have a Vortex on any newly acquired weapon I procure in the future. A real winner.
Pros: Clear glass, repeatable accurate click adjustments, tough as nails, best warranty in the business... EVERYTHING
Cons: Don't own enough of them....

Quality at great value

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on May 22, 2013
The quality of the scope is top notch. The clarity of the glass is clear at full magnification. The knobs and clicks are solid. The added fiber optic on the knobs helps with finding the Zero. Also the Zero Stop function is such a great feature that isn't found on scope less than $1,000! The scope holds zero with repeatable accuracy when dialing the knobs. The Scope was used in a long range precision class taught by a former Marine Scout Sniper and this scope did well in the class. Repeatable accuracy, positive feel and sound of knob clicks, magnification dial is solid. The reticule MRAD was easy to use and very accurate. The way the reticule is laid out its easy to read in low light condition and when on the fly reading is needed. I highly recommend this scope.

This scope was used on a VEPR Hunter 7.62x54R
Pros: Quality, zero stop, user friendly, clarity
Cons: Can't really think of one ...

Bought 2, great scope

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on April 18, 2013
This is probably the best scope you can get for the money. The quality of the scope is amazing, tracking for me was pretty spot on. I shoot around 500yds. I wasn't willing to spend over 1000 and found this gem. Bought two for both my rifles. ...

Best scope for price

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on July 27, 2012
Optics Planet is the best. The wait for this scope was worth it and OP kept me up to date where I was in the "pecking order" for delivery. I mounted this bad boy on an AmaLlite AR10. A few tweaks and we were driving nails at 300 yards.
Pros: Price and preformance

A scope with great features

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on July 19, 2012
This is great value for the money, at the same time it's not cheaply made. I bought this instead of going with a lot of other high end brands and I'm pleased with the results. It comes well packed, great literature on tracking, and the clarity is great. I shoot out past 600 yards and love that it's great.
Pros: Price, features, clarity
Cons: Flip up covers could use work...
