I PURCHASED ONE FOR MY RUGER SR556C AND IT WORKS VERY WELL. I THEN PURCHASED ONE FOR MY RUGER 10/22 TACTICAL. TOP QUALITY OPTIC WITH CLEAR GLASS AND BRIGHT RED DOT. STURDY, QUALITY MOUNT INCLUDED. DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY....

Fantastic Sight

by NCH364, from United States, MT Written on September 5, 2014
This is one of the best red dot sights I have used. The controls are easy to use and distinct. The glass is great and image is very clear. The brightness adjustment is good as well. I wish the dot was 3 moa rather than 4 moa, but the 4 moa is not a problem for a fast sight acquisition as this type of sight is intended. I prefer this type of sight over the holographic sight such as Eotech, and the price is less than half. You get more quality out of the Vortex per dollar hands down....

Vortex Strikefire 2

by Rawtacular, from United States, OR Written on August 30, 2014
I give this product 5 stars because it is exactly how every review, video or recommendation has described it. For those who don't want to or cannot afford to spend $500+ on a red dot optic this is the best! The quality is superb and it's very sleek fits my 33" carbine with 16" barrel perfectly and I still have plenty of room for BUIS and a magnifier if needed. The green dot is great for low light conditions I find it less obscuring but you probably will need to use the red in bright environments. Very simple to mount and zero....

Unbeatable deal

by Kris Dee, from United States, FL Written on August 29, 2014
With all the improvements over the last model StrikeFire this seems to be hard to beat. Waterproof, red and green dot site colors, adjustable brightness for day and nite fire... Just a very good deal of improvements that make this optic hard to beat....

Strike Fire

by Strikefire, from United States, VA Written on August 29, 2014
A little bulky and adds a little bit of weight to my AR but diffinetly an optic I would use on the ground. Has a sturdy feel and the red/green dot is visible in the sunlight. Keeps my shot groups tight amd consistant....

Vortex Strikefire II

by BigBub, from United States, VA Written on August 27, 2014
Awesome product. 4MOA dot is the perfect size for me. The various intensity levels make it usable in all lighting conditions. I also got the absolute co-witness mount since I have folding BUS. Once both are zeroed, can remove either/or and rezero without having to go to the range. The Vortex warranty is without equal. Just ordered the SPARCII for another unit....

Vortex StrikeFire II Red Dot w/ 4 MOA Reticle

by Simo, from New Zealand, OTAGO Written on August 10, 2014
I was considering a Red Dot for 3Gun to rest on both AR's (.223 & (mm) and had this product suggested to me by one of my shooting acquaintances. The ordering process via OP was quick and painless and shipped promptly and at an affordable rate. The sight comes well protected in its packaging and has very simple instructions for mounting and operation. I've found the scope to be ideal fro what I was wanting and am impressed with the clarity of the glass and sharpness of the dot in all lighting conditions. The controls are easy to reach and the integrated dust covers are very reassuring that your not going to scratch the glass in transit. It lined up with my back up sights (Magpul MBUS) as promised in the lower third. All in all a very good red dot and I'm very happy with what I got for the money. Would recommend this to anyone looking for similar....
Pros:
  • Clear optics
  • Cheap
  • Sharp dot
  • Easy to mount
  • Intergrated Lens Covers
  • Looks good
Cons:
  • None

Excellent optic!

by Steve, from United States, HI Written on August 8, 2014
I didn't want to spend $500 on an Aimpoint and I'm glad that I opted for the Vortex Strikefire II. Knowing that my order had already been delayed for 2.5 months, Optics Planet shipped it to me in Hawaii in under a week at normal shipping cost. The customer service and product quality is excellent. Once on my AR-15, it was too easy to zero given the simple sighting controls.
The sight housing is well-built and seems durable. The sight picture is clear and the red and green dots are bright. I would definitely recommend this optic!...
Pros:
  • Quality design
  • Improved brightness adjustments
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Target/competition shooting

red dot scope

by ph, from United States, FL Written on August 2, 2014
light weight, small moa makes targeting at distance accurate. sturdy and easy to operate. much less than aim point scopes with similar performance. best price point for quality aim and shoot scope . Took 3 weeks to receive product which is a little disappointing. Great guarantee. ergonomics great and battery life fair. I plan to buy 2 more for my sons AR platforms....

HIGH QUALITY OPTIC

by C. FULLER, from United States, AZ Written on July 20, 2014
I CONSIDERED PURCHASING AN AIMPOINT PRO, OR COMP M4 RED DOT, BUT DIDNT WANT TO SPEND 500.00, WITHOUT A MOUNT.

THIS STRIKEFIRE II CAME WITH A QUALITY, STRONG MOUNT AND WAS PUT ONTO A RUGER SR556C.

WORKS FLAWLESSY AND HAS A VERY CLEAR SIGHT PICTURE, WITH CLEAR GLASS, NOT BLUISH LIKE SOME CHEAPER OPTICS.

IMPROVED CONTROL MODULE IS VERY NICE AND THE LENSE CAPS SNAP CLOSE, TIGHT AND SNUG.

THE FINISH ON THE OPTIC IS MATTE BLACK, IDENTICAL TO AN AIMPOINT AND NOT SHINY BLACK, LIKE THE STRIKEFIRE I....
Pros:
  • QUALITY OPTIC
  • MOUNT INCLUDED
  • GREAT PRICE
Cons:
  • None
Would recommend: Yes
