They are just a bit tricky to install due to the square recoil lug wanting to fall out if you don't get the two ring halves snugged up tight enough before you try to mount them, but after you've done it a time or two there's nothing to it. I like being able to remove the scope for cleaning the rifle and then putting it back on and it still be zeroed. The quick release knob things do stick out a bit but in my opinion not enough to be a problem. I'm planning on buying another set of these rings to retro-fit another rifle with a picatinny rail and these rings.
