A bit off...

by Zen 308, from United States, OH Written on April 12, 2015
I wanted my ring's and rail to be matched for fit reasons. I chose these ring's because they seemed sturdy (six screws) and went nice with my weaver rail. The fit of the rings to the rail were great, it wasn't until I lapped my rings for my new scope the issue became prevalent. Having bought the complete weaver scope lapping kit in the past with ALL the goodies, I expected their rings to be just as excellent, the rail was great also! But to my surprise, the rings were not well matched at all, one was very true the other was not true at all! It took forever to get the non true ring to lap correctly so I could at least get 90% contact on it, the first ring was 100% true almost immediately, I spent at least 30 minutes getting the second ring to 90%. It fits tight now, no slippage or distortion on the scope, but the work involved was a real downer. Not what I would have expected of the Weaver name, their quality control had a fail on this set. If I had it to do over, I would have returned the rings to the store but, buying online and the mail issue plus dealing with the return process seemed more hassle than just spending the extra half hour lapping. I would not recommend this set to a friend nor will I purchase them for my next build. If they would have cost more I would have returned them for sure, but at the price I paid, I guess I got what I paid for? Budget builds still cost a lot with what needs to be acquired, I will find another brand next time and spend a few more dollar...

Very Impressed!!!

by Mr. Q, from United States, NM Written on January 7, 2015
Not only do these Weaver Scope Rings look aggressively awesome, but during the install I could tell the quality of these rings when compared to other rings I have used. Would definitely buy again!!! I wish I could attach a picture, because they just look awesome!!!...

The strongest in it's price range.

by longrangehunter, from United States, OK Written on December 21, 2014
These are super strong but incredibly light. I wouldn't recommend them for a hard core tactical rifle that you are going to drag through the dirt, but they are way stronger than what the average Joe needs on his rifle....
Pros:
  • strong, easy to install, nice finish, US made
Cons:
  • cross bolt is not attached
Best Used for:
  • light tactical

Good Rings, very strong

by Brad, from United States, TX Written on October 31, 2014
Good rings, overkill really. I have them on several rifles from 300 win mag to 50 BMG and never a problem. I would buy again and recommend to anyone needing a solid set of rings..........................

Solid Rings

by Alan, from United States, CA Written on October 23, 2014
I bought these to mount on my Savage .308. Seem strong and lock down tight, will buy again when needed. The six screws hold the scope nice and snug so it doesn't move around. I went with the low rings and have plenty of room for my 50mm scope....

Easy to install and good hold on scope

by Movian, from United States, VA Written on July 31, 2014
So I purchased these to go with my Redfield Revenge scope (recomended by a friend).

Very straight forward install on my rail (didn't even need to look at the instructions as its fairly obvious).

comes with the alen key to tighten the screws which appear well made and am not concerned about them milling out.

put 40 rounds down range (.270 Winchester 130 grain) after installing and the scope didn't budge....

The best lightweight tactical rings out there

by longrangehunter, from United States, OK Written on June 17, 2014
These rings are a steal for the price. They are machined well and are fairly strong. A bonus is how light weight they are to keep your overall rifle weight down. The only bad thing is that the cross bolt is non standardized and is not 65in/lb rated like most tactical rings.
Pros: Strong and well crafted
Cons: not 65in/lb rated for the cross bolt....

Better than Expected

by longrangehunter, from United States, OK Written on March 18, 2014
These rings are about the best that most weekend warriors need. They are much more durable than any hunting situation would call for and almost as good as the Burris XTR's (very close). The only thing keeping these rings from rivaling the best out there, is that their crossbolt is not designed to take the standard 65in/lbs torque.
Pros: Strong, well built rings
Cons: cross bolt is not made for standard 65in/lbs...
