Pros:  Nice looking unit
Cons:  single use
Would recommend:  yes

This wrench looks to be a fine well made instrument. However an obvious flaw would be it's not compatible with systems other than weaver, as it wasn't designed as a standard 1/4" drive. (A gross over site in my opinion.) Because you have no way to torque rings other than Weaver's and no way to torque stock bolts unless they conform with Weaver standards. It appears to have been designed by a highly educated person that has never worked with wrench's off the drawing board. So unless your 100% into the Weaver System it's an expensive piece of junk, without modifications and adapters.

Always worried I was over-torquing those tinny set screws - now feel more confident with scope mounting, etc. Great tool! I carry it in my range tool box and have already helped a fellow shooter with his loose scope.

Pros:  very solid feel; bits are high quality
Cons:  the bits are hard to get out of the case
Would recommend:  yes

klassa wrote:

Overall, no complaints. This is a solid tool with very solid parts. I actually thought I'd stripped the screws on a scope mount with a previous wrench, but then discovered that I'd really stripped the bit because it was so cheap! Not so with this wrench... The bits are rugged, and the tool feels bulletproof.

I compared to Wheeler and this one seemed to get higher ratings. I have use the wrench and is easy to use, with a fair selection of popular bit sizes. Comfortable handle. Comes in nice plastic case.

Pros:  Quality craftsmanship, Settings from 10- 80in-lbs, Calibration readings included.
Cons:  small selection of bits when purchased alone
Would recommend:  yes

The Weaver Torque Wrench is exactly what you would expect from Weaver. The quality is outstanding. This wrench is very stoutly built, has easy to see settings and gives you an increased range of torque values over the Wheeler Fat Wrench. Each wrench comes with a signed calibration sheet, showing the actual torque readings for various settings on the wrench. This is very helpful to know if you're on the high or low side of a specific setting. If you've been waiting to buy a torque wrench, you'll be glad you did. The only con is when purchased alone the selection of bits is on the small side. If you already have a gunsmithing screwdriver set with interchangeable bits, then you've got nothing to worry about. Overall, this is the best torque wrench, of it's type, on the market.
