Versatile Cost Effective Mid-range AR Entry Level Scope is Perhaps the Best Value for the Money

by Scott, from United States, OK Written on August 28, 2014
Overall I have no regrets. The glass is pretty decent, and I was surprised with the quality for the price. I rate the glass on this scope at a 7/10. For comparison I rate the glass on my Leupold VX-6 2-12x42 at a 9/10. The 32mm obj is more versatile for use in low light conditions than many other 24mm obj tactical scopes with adjustable magnification. If you want better glass than the Kaspa has to offer, then be prepared to pay much more $$$.

Mounted on an AR with a 20" barrel, my best bench rest group was 1.5" at 200 yards, with many groups at this range at or under 2". It held its zero after approx 300 rounds in the Burris AR-PEPR mount. My intended use is plinking, and for coyote & hog hunting out to approx 350 yards. As others have mentioned, the lighted fine reticle isn't visible in bright daylight. That would make this scope a poor choice for 3-gun competition, but it is perfect for hunting. The fine stadia lines on the illuminated "Tactical Ballistic X" reticle are perfect for detail work. During daylight the black crosshairs are no different than any other scope. When the light starts getting dim in the evening, or during poor weather conditions, the red lighted reticle really makes a difference, and adds precious minutes to available hunting time.

It is important to note (literature doesn't state) that the reticle is mounted on the 2nd focal plane, so it must set to 6x power to use it for proper ranging. If sighted-in at 200 yards on the main crosshairs, it p...

Kaspa for competition

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CA Written on November 14, 2013
I bought it to use on a 3-gun com petition AR. Optical clarity is good, click adjust is accurate/repeatable. Illuminated reticle is great in dim light, not bright enough for day use. Reticle is a little too fine for fast work but precise at distance. Good, but not perfect for 3-gun.
Pros: full featured, clear optics, price
Cons: critical eye relief, illumination too dim for daylight...

Not Bad for Chinese Glass

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, PA Written on March 25, 2013
For what it is....Not Bad. This is my second attempt for cheap glass from China. The First...A VISM, well it wasn't good. The Weaver, however...I was pleasantly surprised. 1.5-6 is a nice power range for bad eyes at medium range. I was hitting my target @ 120 yrds in minutes. Mounted well on my AR with Burris PEPR mount. The illuminated reticle control is on the left side, no focus, and the power is controlled by a ring. At 10 3/4" long it is actually shorter than the Burris XTR-14, so it "LOOKS GOOD" on an AR, or any black rifle. The reticle is simple and thin, the glass is plenty clear. The only thing I am bothered by is the fact that the eye-piece seems to be not quite concentric with the main tube...but the thing works so I'm not going to dwell on it. I only fired 20 rounds with it, but it held ZERO. Only time will tell if it will hold up, but as of now...If you are looking for a lower price scope with a bit more magnification than a 4X, in the same size package. Go for it.
Pros: Clear, Zero-FAST, Small package.
Cons: Lame flip cap lens covers....
