Best scope available under $500

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on May 15, 2014
Bought this scope about a year ago, and used it on my .300 WSM for awhile- maybe 200 shots. Flawless performance. Got tired of the beating that gun dished out, so I put it on my Remington R25 7mm-08. Several hundred rounds later, it's still clear and crisp, brighter than comparable Nikon or Vortex. Took the scope off that gun and tried it out on my Savage 110 BA .338 Lapua, just to see what it could take. 300 rounds of .338 LM later, the Kaspa was still humming right along, performing just like a scope that cost 5x the price. Gave it to my brother-in-law to put on his first rifle until he can afford his own scope, and it seems to like the .270 a lot. I seriously cannot find a single flaw in this scope, other than the place it was made having a reputation for producing poor quality merchandise. I prefer it to the Nikon, Bausch & Lomb, Redfield, & Hawke scopes I currently own. This is WAAAAY more scope than I ever expected for this price.
Pros: INCREDIBLE clarity, consistent rezero
Cons: made in *ahem* that other place....

Great Options for the Buck

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on June 6, 2013
Not everyone can spend Big bucks on optics or for that matter want to. I have been looking for a scope for my ar15 for all around shooting. This scope fit the bill. Price vs. feature along with clear glass and ease of use is good. With the numerous adjustments for focus at your figure tips, you can dial in this scope at any yardage without having to take you eye off the target. The Eye relief could be a bit more and the overall unit is somewhat longer then I would have liked but it does the job. The Illuminated Mil Dot Reticle is only useful in low light. Even on cloudy days its not that bright. As far as mounting on a flat top you will need a riser and High scope rings especially if you want to keep you irons site for backup. I would buy this scope again.
Pros: Clear Optics, Easy to use
Cons: A little Larger then I would Like...
