The GS has a great reticle for short to medium ranges. The dot in the center is large enough at 6x for very quick target aquisition out to 400 and lends itself to hold right side,left side wind hold offs. The space between the crosshairs provides additional calibrated holdoff point, all that are really needed to 400. The dot provides a very good uncluttered aiming point at 6x.
