Most Helpful Positive Review No riser required!
It stays on the scope tight, doesn't get loose, and is the perfect height on top of my AR-15 so I don't need a riser at all. Very well made, can't sa...

Great product

by Joe, from United States, OH Written on March 27, 2015
This product is functional and light weight. I don't have to worry about my scope moving while im thrashing through the woods and running through brush. Definitely a good buy. Along with the stability the weight doesn't make the rifle cumbersome or too heavy to use. overall great product....

Excellent Value

by Ted, from United States, FL Written on March 9, 2015
Well made quality optical mount, installed on an Adams Arms flat top AR15. When I bore sighted the Bushnell 4.5-18X Drop Zone Scope no windage adjustments were required, elevation only required 6 clicks up for zero. Although made in China it is a well made quality optical mount for AR style rifles. I also use this mount on a S&W MP15-22 and a Colt/Walther M4 .22LR...

Weaver Thumbnut SPR 1"

by Dave, from United States, TX Written on March 2, 2015
Used the Weaver to mount Nikon P-300 on my 300 Blackout. It goes on the rifle quickly and easily; and I like it better than separate scope rings for the AR platform. Haven't shot the rifle since installing but I can tell already that it's going to work just as I expect it to. This is a great product and of course Opticsplanet has it at the best price. Will be getting another one for my 223....

AR Scope Mount

by CS, from United States, IL Written on February 25, 2015
Nice design. I like the two screw style of securing the mount to the rail. Plenty of room to move the scope to or from your sighting position for a comfortable fit. This scope mount will work very will with the existing standard fixed front and rear sights. I mounted a Bushnell AR 3X12 scope. The barrel mounted fixed front sight will be just below the center of the scope crosshairs. You will not see the front sight through the scope. The two rail mounting screws will loosen up after firing forty rounds. I would use Loctite on the threads to prevent them from loosening....

Value SPR Mount

by THERakishGUNner, from United States, CA Written on February 25, 2015
This is an excellent single-piece scope mount for the money. I already own a Burris PEPR mount for one of my ARs, but needed another mount for my second build. I really wanted a LaRue, but there was no friggin way I was going to pay $200 for one. The Burris mounts are great (especially now that they can be had with quick detach levers), but they're chunky little suckers, weighing over 8 oz. This Weaver mount is approx. 2 oz lighter, and feels just as solid. And since I don't plan on cycling scopes on and off different weapons, the lack of QD levers isn't a big loss. And, (at the time of this writing) this Weaver is $30 less than the Burris and the comparable Nikon M223 mount- another win. Is the LaRue a better mount? Probably... but I'm not dropping 4x the money to find out....

Solid well made good value. I like it better then burris pepr.has less screws to deal with. Finish is great. Fits fine on the ar. Easy to remove with large thumb screws. Lite weight and strong. I would recommend this mount to my friends....

weaver spr mount

by Donnie West, from United States, LA Written on February 5, 2015
I bought a custom built AR from a friend of mine and it had a cheap red dot sight on it, ditched it and put a accushot scope on it , didn't like it either so I bought a Nikon M223 4x16x40, mounted it with some weaver 2 piece high rise rings and it sat too low, didn't want a riser so I got the weaver SPR mount. Problem Solved !!...

Solid construction with secure fit

by Motown Marty, from United States, MI Written on January 14, 2015
Using this to mount by 1" scopes to an AR varmint rifle. Attachment secure at 25# of torque and no sign of loosening after >100 rounds of practice. Leaves me enough room to mount an accessory rail to the scopes also....

Weaver Thumbnut SPR 1in Mount

by Ozarksportsman, from United States, MO Written on September 21, 2014
I ordered this to put on top of my Colt AR6720 LE carbine. Since it has the A2 front sight needed the height. I barely clear the front sight. It does however meet another need of mine and that was to still have my magpul rear sight still on the top rail. It replaces the riser block which I originally had on it but made the rifle look so blocky.
The fit and finish was outstanding and have always been a fan of 4 screws per ring. The reason it didn't get 5 stars is the distance from font of the front ring to the rear of the back ring is too wide for my tactical scope tube. I've topped my AR with a Truglo TRU-BRIGHT Xtreme compact 4x32 tactical with mil dot reticle, and had to spend about an hour filing and chamfering the leading edge of the ring part to match the angle on the scope tube to the reticle. Otherwise I had to have the scope out of focus to mount it up....
Pros:
  • Fit and finish
  • Looks great,
  • quick mount thumb screws
  • height
Cons:
  • too much distance between rings
Best Used for:
  • full size scopes

Great Mount for AR15

by J-Rod, from United States, SC Written on September 9, 2014
I'm very satisfied with this mount. I was looking for a reasonably priced one piece scope mount for my AR15. This mount fit perfect, and gave me the forward eye relief that standard scope rings would not. It gives enough height to mount a 50mm objective lens on a M4 rifle. The mount fits great, and looks good on my rifle. I'll probably buy another one for my other AR15. The thumb screws are a great bonus in case you want to quickly swap to a carry handle or iron sights....
