Pros:  Simple to setup and use. Does the job quickly
Cons:  Lapping compound seperated and had to be mixed

Don't trust ANY ring manufacturer, use this kit! I had never used a lapping kit before but, I didn't want to take a chance with my new $1600 scope even though the AR-15 mount was a machined one piece mount. The first time I tried it, the lapping compound wasn't cutting a thing. Then I took a closer look and found that it had seperated during storage or shipping. Mixed the compound, re-applied, and tried again...worked like a charm. I was completely amazed at how much my high dollar "billet" scope mount was off. Within a minute or two it was looking great and the scope mounted perfectly. I can honestly say that I don't care if I'm mounting a $25 scope or a $1000+ dollar one...the rings WILL get lapped without even giving it a second thaught!
