Great Glasses

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on October 7, 2013
I purchased these because I was looking for something more than the cheapo safety glasses you get at the hardware store. I have a rather large head, so I was a bit apprehensive about ordering them online, but was very pleased upon arrival. I am constantly indoors and out with my job, and they haven't had any fogging issue. The foam top help keep sweat from getting into my eyes. On overcast or stormy days the light rust lenses brighten things up. I'll use that for dove hunting dusk and dawn also. I like the option of changing the lenses. Overall, they are performing very well. What I would expect from Wiley X. I just have to not leave them behind on a job. I've lost too many safety glasses that way.
Pros: Fits my large head...

Very disappointed

I purchased these for competitive shooting, the quick change lenses were the selling point, I use these glasses for driving back and forth to work and on the range firing in F- class competition, they fit well and the ballistic protection is what I need, I always baby these glasses and don't use them in any tactical capacity whatsoever. After only 5 months the rubber on the earpieces started to flake off and fall apart, I returned these to the factory and requested that they take them back and allow me to upgrade to the American made Talons (even after I asked to pay the difference for the upgrade, I'm not looking for something for nothing), I never received a phone call or anything, one day the new pair just showed up at my door, I called them and explained that I was not happy with them and was worried that this would become a perpetual warranty issue, their response was to keep sending them back and they would not upgrade my glasses per company policy, the problem is that each time there is a warranty service charge and you pay the shipping to them, now I've invested $90.00 on these glasses and frankly I don't feel their worth it, I'll never purchase another product from Wiley X again and I'm getting ready to purchase quality American made glasses from another manufacturer for not much more than these...
Pros: great looks, fit well
Cons: rubber on ear piece disintegrates......

Good glasses if you need to change your lenses

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TN Written on February 1, 2012
Easy to change lenses - clear, sun, and high-vis. Comfortable and durable. Would be better if they were shaped like traditional sunglasses and were a bit more understated.
Pros: Durable, flexible, comfortable
Cons: The look is a bit overstated/dramatic...

More than what I was looking for

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, AZ Written on September 20, 2011
I bought these for shooting because I wanted something better than the $15 - $20 pair that I had for the range. The only reason I gave it an overall 4 out of 5 was that I just got them. I gave it a 3 for "easy set up" because I'm afraid that I'm going to break the lens when I change them (ex. clear to grey). This could be attributed to the fact that I have broken them in yet and it may get easier to change the lens over time. Great value!
Pros: Get value
Cons: Concerned about breaking the lens when I switch...
