Love the glasses. Only with the light adjusting lenses would darken to a darker shade. Love to use them on my Harley.

Pros: Great glasses as long as they don't break
Cons: Poor quality on temples
Would recommend: no

I've had 2 prescription pairs of sunglasses from Wiley X and they're absolutely great...until they break. The problem is that the temples are poorly made and if they break, you CAN'T buy a replacement temple so you end up having to throw them away unless you are lucky and have them under warranty, which is what happened to me the first time. The first pair broke 4 days before the warranty was set to expire (1 year warranty). The next set broke 6 days after the warranty expired, so I'm out almost $400 dollars on prescription sunglasses. BEWARE, once you buy their product they will do nothing to support it. They got their money from you and that's all they care about.

I use these while riding motorcycle, shooting range and windy, dusty, or inclement weather. I like the LG version as they adjust to light conditions. Very light and comfortable, plus different options of securing to the body/head is quick, easy and fast.

Pros: straight forward set up
Cons: fogging makes them worthless
Would recommend: no
Bob Albright wrote:
if purchasing SG-1 goggles, recognize major problem with fogging. I tried 3 different de-fogging products w/o success. I used them hunting in the snow and while the lens were great, the fogging was miserable experience. I will be trying the special defog lenses next. In short, if you plan on using these goggles for winter events with activity, do not purchase regular lens!
It is the best.

Pros: Interchangable lenses and headband
Cons: Light adjust lenses lose sensitivity after a year or so
Would recommend: yes

I originally bought these goggles for use in pyrotechnics. I also take them to the range whenever I go shooting. The goggles are great at keeping debris out and are pretty comfortable. They have a tendency to fog up if you are using the headband instead of the swing-arm attachments, but an application of anti-fog does the trick. My main complaint is that the light sensitive goggle inserts stopped adjusting after a year or so, so now I use different inserts based on the lighting conditions. I've used these for two years to shoot fireworks shows manually and they definitely have saved me from flying debris on more than one occasion. Overall, these are some to of the most comfortable and versatile sets of protective goggles I have ever used.

As with so many things, proper understanding is important. I shoot numerous competition sports from skeet to benchrest to IHMSA to IPSC. I needed something to stay in place that was scratch resistant and could accommodate prescription lenses that could easily be swapped out. These met the bill.
First, expect to buy at least 1 additional set of lenses and at least one additional set of gaskets. You can swap the lenses and gaskets in the field in under a minute - and that is taking your time.
Transition lenses are a joke...do not expect them to perform well - as they never have. Not a fault with these glasses - only the lenses.
Get the clear lenses for when those are practical.
Get a gray/coppertone polarized lens for daylight.
Get scratch resistant coating and antiglare coatings added - well worth it.
When it comes to fog there are two simple tricks. Take that extra set of gaskets and a razor knife and cut notches into the gasket to allow more air flow. Then take ...
