I bought this device by Yukon several weeks ago and it is really great! The image is very nice though you cant expect much from gen.1. But the performance (battery is long-lasting) is absolutely fantastic. Moreover, the price is more than affordable.

Pros:  Remarkable sharpness and clarity for the price
Cons:  easy to accidentally bump the "on" button, two focus rings

I've used this mostly on Lake Erie both hand held and attached to a C 130 telescope. Boats traverse at night, sometimes with lights sometimes not. Always curious, this thing really reaches out. At distance the images aren't quite as crisp, but I'm satisfied. Also used it to identify night critters in the garden.
