I have not used it in the field yet but the scale and the compass are great. Still need to take it out side and work on the scale dist feature. The red illuminated compass at night works great. Does not take away from vision.
It is light weight and realitively small.
I do not like the objective lens caps. They always fall off.
Being 7 x 50 they seem to pull in more ambient light at night then other binos I have.
I love them.

Was concerned when I found out this optic was made in China but now am convinced this is a "Top Notch" binocular for the $$!
Pros: Excellent clarity at distance over 1 mile
Cons: Lens cap on objective lenses don't stay put....

If you need to use binos for long periods of time the BaK-4 prisms in this set are crystal clear and comfortable to look through for hours with no strain. The range finder has a very simple formula to memorize eliminating the need for a seperate rangefinder. I like the compass feature as well, the only thing that could be better is if the range finder would illuminate like the compass does. These binoculars are much larger and tougher than they appear online. I accidentally dropped mine on a piece of rebar that hit exactly (the pointy end) on the button for the compass from about 6 feet. The compass stopped working, but the rest of the binocular was fine. Yukon replaced my set free of charge immediatly even though it was my fault, I would compare customer service to Leupold or Brownells. For the price Yukon can't be beat. ...
