Pros:  Very handy to have night vision in Black&White format making it easy to recognise detail.
Cons:  Could be made more sensitive in low light conditions
Would recommend:  yes

Albert wrote:

Pleasure to view your image in Black&White, making object more outstanding. Could improve though with very low light conditions. But generally a handy night vision for anyone to use.

Pros:  Hmmm.. seems to kinda work with IR lum
Cons:  Doesnt work in almost any other situation
Would recommend:  no

I have served in the Military and used a wide range of NVG devices. From true Gen 2, to Gen 4+. This will not even amplify the light in the bathroom with the lights off and light seeping in under the door.. I could see better with my own eyes adjusted to the dark than with this. The only time it seems to function is if you use the IR luminator, even then its only marginal.

This device has nothing to do with real Yukon. This is a very low quality fake which can hardly be taken seriously. Do waste money on it, better spend money on genuine NV devices by Yukon

Pros:  Digital, Small, Built in IR
Cons:  Poor Resolution, SMALL screen
Would recommend:  no

I've owned several Generation 3 devices, a couple Generation 1 and the Yukon Ranger Digital NV device. I expected this to basically be the Ranger but without video out - but the screen is tiny and the resolution is no better than a cheap eyeclops toy. The Ranger viewfinder is low resolution compared to what you see if you use the Video out connector - But its at least a decent size - this is smaller and lower resoltion

Cons:  All

This device has little to no visibility in day or night time operation, quality is poor and construction is cheap. Device is made in China. It can be used as a paper weight, but thats about all it is good for. Optics Planet is great on returns and service, but dont waste the time or your money on this product
