Pros:  Simple to use
Cons:  Not that accurate
Would recommend:  no

JAWS wrote:

Fits in the chaimber well but the laser is not accurate. In one of my pistols it is dead on but in another one it is off approx 8" at 10 yds. Both are Kimber 1911 pistols so i expected better...

Pros:  Easy to use. Puts you on the paper.
Cons:  No switch but no big deal
Would recommend:  yes

Don B wrote:

This bore sight makes good sense. It looks down the barrel from the chamber just like a live cartridge would. The batteries that came with the unit haven't run out of juice yet but I found replacements easily in my area.

Pros:  Very simple, Easy to use, nothing is inserted into the bore of the rifle.
Cons:  Really can't think of any.
Would recommend:  yes

Darren Howell wrote:

This is the easiest way to sight in a gun, period. Simply chamber the boresighter like a cartridge, put the gun in a gun vice or craddle, adjust the W&E knobs of your scope to bring the crosshairs inline with the laser dot. There are other, more expensive laser boresighters that slide in the bore of the gun at the muzzle and adjust to fit many calibers. However, you take a chance on damaging the bore of the gun everytime you do this. Cartridge boresighters are the way to go.

I have tried other brands and other types but this got me on the paper before sending any rounds down range. Both the .223 Rem and 7.62x39 worked perfectly. These will stay in my range bag always.

Pros:  Accurate, compact, easy to use
Cons:  no off switch
Would recommend:  yes

Hobbyist wrote:

no off switch, so you have to disassemble and take out batteries to turn off, then store loose little batteries. It came with one dead battery too which was annoying, didn't know if unit was bad, had to buy $8 worth of new batteries to test.

Cons:  not exact but for 30 dollars it's close enough

This is a great tool to get close to zero before firing a shot. It won't zero your optics/scope but will save a lot of ammo getting there.

Cons:  No on/off switch meaning you need to remove the batteries every time and they are small.
Would recommend:  yes

nico21s wrote:

Excellent product and easy to use. A way to keep the bateries for storage in the unit is to put some plastic around it. The value for money and ease of use offset the inconvenience of having to remove the batteries all the time.

Used the laser bore-sight to pre-zero my scope prior to zeroing, and also to assist in lining up a green laser mounted on the weapon. It made it all very easy to do.
