I purchased the SM39003 for a semi-auto .270 Winchester. These things sure make scope setup easy. Keep in mind that this is a red bore sight that is not easily seen in bright daylight. I could use the bore sight up to 25 yards in bright daylight against a plywood background. No trouble seeing the red dot at 200 yards on cloudy days, or at dusk and dawn, with a large white box and white paper targets. I have a reflective highway road sign that served as an excellent back drop during semi-bright days, and especially at dusk and dawn. You are not supposed to use reflective items to prevent eye damage, and I mention the sign for a reason. The sign shifted the laser reflection one red dot size, depending on the dot size at the distance, and where the red dot hit the sign. However, the sign was a tremendous help at 200 yards! I had a small problem with the bore sight when first received, but SightMark quickly fixed the issue. It would be nice if other companies set their customer service standards to those of OpticsPlanet and SightMark.
