Slender build with quality parts. Very accurate after making normal adjustments.

Pros:  Easy te set up. Features (ie: IR Light., because without it unit is useless), size, quality of exterior parts
Cons:  Worthless without IR light on, barely useable wih it, needs very fine adjustments to focus, no point in having it at 3.5x... would rather it be 1:1
Would recommend:  no

A friend of mine had a $100 unit that I used back in 2005. It was two or three times the machine that this is, albeit a bit bulkier. I will mount an independent IR light with this one and see how much that helps. What this WILL NOT change is the fact that the FOV is small and to focus requires lots of adjustments on a very small scale. You'll need LOTS of patience to try and dial this thing in if you're wearing gloves on that's for sure. 3.5x is silly. Would be better if it was just 1 power. I can't imagine how pixilated the 5 power must be. Not sure if I'm going to keep it or not. Very disapointed.
