Top Notch Scope

by Whitetail68, from United States, WI Written on August 6, 2014
I've heard great thing about Zeiss but I've always been a Nikon guy. Picked this bad boy up with a sitewide coupon and I'm really impressed with the overall build quality and crystal clear glass. Would definitely recommend this to other hunters!...

Exceeds expectations by a mile

by North Central Arkansas Hunter, from United States, AR Written on July 30, 2014
I purchased two of these for two different rifles, both .308. I have never mounted a scope to a rifle (even using a boresighter) and had it line up within two clicks elevation and two clicks windage at 100 yards. Three shots and I was ringing 12 inch gongs offhand at 270 yards. Low light performance is expected German performance- 2nd to none. If you want a reasonably priced scope (reasonable being subjective of course), I don't think you will find a better optic in this price range. What are you giving up? Well, you have to take the caps off to make your adjustments. Spend the extra to get the Z-600 reticle. Everyone who has shot my rifles with this scope have been immensely impressed. Leopold makes good equipment, and they were my first choice, but you have to get a least a VX-3 to come close to the level of performance of this Zeiss, and their reticles are not as good on the VX-3. The VX Mark is between the VX-2 and VX-3 in quality and low light capability, so I guess you could make do with that, but the glass isn't as good from my experience. Buy it, you will not regret it....

Crystal Clear

by Whitetail68, from United States, WI Written on July 21, 2014
Never had a Zeiss before but heard some really great things about them. I bought scope spontaneously for a big hunting trip and it performed much better than my monarch. Get the Rapid Z reticle you wont regret it....

Exceeded My Expectations

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on June 30, 2014
I'll be honest, I did not know what to expect when I ordered this scope. However it was too hard to pass up the Zeiss name and German glass at this price point, so I took a chance. Extremely pleased that I did - could not be happier with the performance so far.

I've mounted this up on my favorite deer rifle in anticipation of using it later this year when the season opens. Shot some rounds through it on multiple occasions to sight her in and for fun, and once zeroed, this has been spot-on! While this scope won't replace a $2,000+ high-end Zeiss, for the money, I don't think I've seen better glass....

Great scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on June 9, 2014
Mounted on a 10/22 with a TacSol bull barrel. DNZ ring/mount combination. Sharp, clear glass, nice distinct turret clicks, smooth magnification adjustment. In stock, fast shipping, person taking the order knew their stuff, and suggested the DNZ mount. Will return to Optics Planet, first OPMOD product, would by other OPMOD based on this purchase.
Pros: Clear glass, fit and finish ...

Bang for the buck

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on May 30, 2014
I mounted this scope on my Remington 700 a few months ago and have 4 or 5 boxes of ammo through it. I was able to attain a solid zero with only 3 rounds and have not had any issues since the initial zero. The turret click adjustment is crisp and solid with zero slop. Overall image brightness is just as good, if not better, than my VX-3 3.5-10x40mm. The intended use is as my "go to" deer rifle. I am normally a Leupold guy but wanted to try something new. I am very please with the Zeiss OPMOD Conquest riflescope and have no regrets with my decision.
Pros: Zeiss Glass!!! ...

++++Zeiss OPMOD 3-9x40++++

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on May 27, 2014
Bought this scope because its a perfect combination; German's made the glass, and Americans built the scope. Best of both worlds. Went with the rz 600 reticle. Glad I did! its great for the holdover shots. I hate touching the turrets once zeroed, this reticle makes it easy to just hold over anywhere and squeeze one hold and be accurate. Used it on target shooting to Mule deer. even worked well on those little prairie dogs with that RZ reticle. Image was nice and clear, cant say enough about it. Great value for the $$ spent.
Pros: perfect image, sleek profile, American made
Cons: no parralax adjustment...

I am using this scope on my Colt AR-15 for coyote hunting.

I am amazed with the quality of the glass, the clarity and brightness has greatly helped me on my hunts during the early morning.

This scope is lightweight, keeping my rifle light as Stoner intended!...

DO NOT BUY - PIECE OF JUNK

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, TN Written on April 6, 2014
This thing is such a disappointment. I was going to use this on my 300 Win Mag. Emphasis is "going to". I never got to use it. After waiting for 3 months for the scope rings to come in, I got a sunny weekend day and went to bore sight the scope. In the process, the elevation turret seized up. I'm talking seized. It's immovable. I stopped short of using a wrench, but trust me, it's seized. Can you imagine being on a big game hunt somewhere far away from home only to find that your scope isn't working? The thing also just looks cheap. The turret ring adjustments AND the turret ring covers are cheap plastic. The logo on the side (I wouldn't normally care, but since I'm describing it), looks like a screen print. For $500.00, I would look elsewhere. The other
Pros: Reticle, Glass
