The Sky Watcher 120AR EQ5 PRO Refractor Telescope S11660 is a high performance refractor telescope that offers premium optical performance for the amateur astronomer. This Sky Watcher telescope is popular for its rich imagecontrast, high definition, and coal-black sky background that makes stars appear like diamonds imbedded in black velvet. The refractors of the Sky Watcher's 120AR EQ5 PRO Telescope utilize the most modern optical glasses and fabricating techniques to deliver the ultimate in high-fidelity astronomical imaging. Subtle details appear as never seen before in telescopes of lower optical capability. Refractor telescopes can be described as the sexy race cars of astronomical optical systems.

Sky-Watcher's 120AR EQ5 PRO Refractor Telescope S11660 will always demonstrate sharper images than other telescope optic designs because the refractor concentrates more light into the central airy-disk and first diffraction rings. There is no diffraction pattern interference caused by a diagonal mirror, or secondary mirror being suspended in the optical path (central obstruction) as is the case with reflector telescopes.

The Sky Watcher 120AR EQ5 PRO Refractor Telescope is capable of providing performance resembling a 7 inch reflector telescope on lunar, planetary, double-stars, globular star clusters, and possibly even the brighter nebulae.
