A direction sensing ability of the Stalker DSR 2X Radar-Gun allows the operator to select a specific direction of traffic to monitor. The DSR 2X can measure closing targets while automatically ignoring vehicles that are going away - even if a target moving away is closer than a distant closing target. The DSR 2X by Stalker opens up whole new areas that can be worked effectively with stationary operation.

Conventional moving radar can only monitor traffic in one target zone. With the Stalker DSR 2X two moving target zones or all four stationary target zones can be monitored simultaneously. Stalker DSR 2X is actually two independent radar units operating on a single display. In moving mode, two target zones can be simultaneously monitored - one front target zone and one rear target zone. In stationary mode, all four target zones can be simultaneously monitored. The direction arrows indicate target direction for both the front and the rear display windows. Or, if desired, only one front target zone and one rear target zone can be simultaneously monitored. This Radar Gun by Stalker provides voice verification of the location, radar mode, and direction. Whenever a target is locked, the Stalker DSR 2X Police Radar audibly tells the operator which antenna was used (front or rear), what mode the radar is operating in (moving or stationary), and the direction (opposite or same direction) the vehicle was traveling. These added step assists the operator in ensuring accuracy every time. The audio tone from conventional radars will vary in pitch when the patrol car's speed changes. The audio in the DSR 2X Radar Package by Stalker LE is compensated for patrol speed, so the pitch always is directly related to the actual target speed, true doppler audio. This allows the operator to know target speeds just by hearing the pitch, eliminating the need to constantly watch the display. The compact display and counting unit is small enough to be mounted almost anywhere. If an even smaller unit is desired, the display / counting unit can be separated and then just the display can be mounted on the dash.
