Steiner 12x40 Predator Pro Compact Hunting Binoculars 242 Product Info

Steiner Predator Pro Compact 12x40 Binoculars 242 bring high power and amazing contrast with a high depth of field into a single binoculars. The imageSteiner 12 x 40 Predator Pro Binoculars by Steiner unique high contrast lens coating helps users discern subjects against green-colored foliage. The Steiner Predator Pro Hunting Binocular is another member of the Predator Pro line. These Steiner binoculars incorporate Steiner's latest C5 optics, developed by their engineers in Germany. This new C5 technology is designed to deliver brighter images with high contrast. This performance makes these Steiner Predator Pro binoculars highly effective in a difficult hunting environment where game animals are in a heavy wooded environment.

The Predator Pro Compact Hunting Binoculars features Steiner's exclusive Color Adjusted Transmission (CAT) lens coating that enhances brown and red colors against foliated backgrounds, making game "pop" from a wooded background. Using this proprietary coating system, the Steiner 12x40 Predator Pro offers bright and crisp images, enhancing the binocular's effectiveness at dusk and dawn. These binoculars use Steiner's unique Sports Auto-Focus system that, once set for the user's eyes, keeps all subjects in focus at distances from approximately 30 yards to infinity. The Sports Auto-Focus allows hunters to scan an entire landscape without having to readjust focus. It can also be faster in locating wildlife since the entire depth of field is constantly in focus.

The Steiner 12x40 Predator Pro's new NBR rubber armoring has also been re-engineered to be more durable and emits almost no noise during handling. The new rubber offers a firm grip and is more tactile in wet weather. The forest green color blends well with most camo patterns. With 18.5mm eye relief and soft, fold-down eyecups, eyeglass wearers will have no difficulty with these binoculars, whether they choose to wear their glasses or not. The new Predator Pro 12x40 Binoculars will include a padded nylon case with strap, attached objective lens caps, rain guard and neck strap. With a field of view of 264 feet at 1000 yards, and weighing only 24 ounces, these hunting binoculars will sweep you off your feet!

Helpful Positive Review Good Glass by Legacy Reviewer, December 29, 2010
Good glass for the price. I have not used hunting, but light gattering seems to be good while looking through in the yard at dusk. I also like the fact that I don't have to adjust the focus. I was a little worried that the 12x50 porro might be bulky...

These binoculars are worth much more than the price reflects. They are as clear as come of my friends Pentax binos that cost 3 times the purchase price. I absolutely recommend these for anyone. They're tough, waterproof, and have great lens covers. I...

Most Recent Review Great for the hunt by Legacy Reviewer, September 18, 2009
These are great for hunting in woods and limited range situations under 300 yards. They are very bright considering the cost, but they aren't Leica's. They are 1/5 the cost of the Leica's, and they are very well made. These are my go to glasses for t...
