These diagnostic mailer systems provide a simple, safe, economical, and reliable package for shipping blood, serum, and other diagnostic materials reasonably believed not to contain etiologic agents as defined in 42 CFR, Part 72.

The eight-tube mailer system 73320-122 is designed to secure up to eight 10mL tubes and a 30mL bottle. Three-tube mailer system 16465-164 holds three 10mL tubes. Mailer systems include approved 10mL specimen tubes, leak-resistant polystyrene foam shippers (body and lid), absorbent material, waterproof tape, leak-resistant press-lock poly bag, corrugated shipping carton, and instruction sheet. Mailer interiors have space to accommodate materials for insurance testing or other paperwork. Tight-fitting plug lids are designed to hold the required absorbent material.

Diagnostic specimen shipping system 87003-906 includes a plastic envelope, two absorbent material sheets, a bubble wrap, and an instruction sheet. Shipping system 87003-908 includes two plastic envelopes, four absorbent material sheets, two bubble wraps, and an instruction sheet. Both shippers also include a corrugated carton. Mailing kit 87003-910 includes a 90mL specimen bottle, plastic bag, temperature indication label, waterproof tape, absorbent material, and a corrugated mailing sleeve.

Shippers are approved by the U.S. Postal Service and major couriers. They meet IATA Packaging Instruction 650 and title 49 CFR 173.199 and are also tested and certified for packaging diagnostic specimens.

Ordering Information: Complete mailer systems consist of a foam unit and a supply kit, both of which may also be purchased separately. Supply kits include absorbent material, waterproof tape, plastic bag, shipping carton, and instruction sheet. Diagnostic specimen shipping systems do not include tubes.
