Vixen R200SS 200mm Telescopes Product Info

Vixen R200SS 200mm Telescope and GP2 Mount has a parabolic primary mirror that gives extremely sharp images with no chromatic aberration. The use of state-of-the-art coating technology yields the ideal surface for its f/4 primary mirror. The visual observer will enjoy wide views of deep night sky objects. Actual groups of nebula or clusters can be viewed at the same time with this instrument. The Vixen R200SS Telescope has a large aperture and compact body that make it ideally suited for astrophotography of nebulae, star clusters and comets. The use of the optional coma corrector allows for a sharp coma-free image from edge to edge, and the rack and pinion focusing mount, with an adapter, accepts 2 eyepieces. The Vixen GP2 equatorial mount comes standard with tripod and counterweight. It is easy to use and functions well for both the visual observer and astro photography. The declination and right-ascension functions with 144-tooth aluminum worm gears allowing accurate tracking. Motion is controlled by included control knobs for accurate slewing. The polar altitude adjustment varies from 0° to 62° in altitude. Add the new Vixen Starbook S controller with built in starchart to give the Vixen R200SS Newtonian Reflector Telescope full Go-To capabilities.
