The Vixen R200SS Telescope has a large aperture and compact body that make it ideally suited for astrophotography of nebulae, star clusters and comets. The use of the optional coma corrector allows for a sharp coma-free image from edge to edge, and the rack and pinion focusing mount, with an adapter, accepts 2 eyepieces. The Vixen GP2 equatorial mount comes standard with tripod and counterweight. It is easy to use and functions well for both the visual observer and astro photography. The declination and right-ascension functions with 144-tooth aluminum worm gears allowing accurate tracking. Motion is controlled by included control knobs for accurate slewing. The polar altitude adjustment varies from 0° to 62° in altitude.
